Damn. I forgot that I don't own either of them. Although purchasing them and setting them ablaze does sound like fun. We could all get together and have a huge bonfire and burn our copies. Kind of like the crazy religious folk do to KISS, ACDC and Dio albums. Let's set the spirit of Live free...

Oh come on... V is great and PLY is catchy as hell and is meant to be performed on stage. V has balls unlike more recent albums. I applaud you OP for celebrating this song.

It even has a great message to it! PLY is a self-referential song about live appearing to be mainstream but the fans know it as anything but. The world needs people like us who demand songs that go beyond face value and into the world of symbols and meaning. I would argue that those who take this song without considering the deeper meaning are wanting live to "piss in the mainstream" rather than attempt something innovative.

Just my two cents victory.gif

V is a terrible album. Musically there are a few songs that actually aren't bad. Lyrically, it is complete trash. It was written by a guy that was all screwed up on drugs, and was too busy hanging out at night clubs.

I do not think I will ever want to set a CD on fire if CCP are there, even if it is grindcore hip hop classic drum n bass

I enjoy V. I agree it has some balls. they took a chance, did something on a lark. If it had been released as planned, as a gift to fans, I don't think people would hate on it so much.
either way, I think I like it more than BOP or SFBM

You probably have a good point about the club part, but come on, where would music be today without drugs!?

I remember trying to convince myself that I liked V. I can appreciate some of the music through headphones, but that's about it.

I do agree with DQ that if it was released how they originally intended I would probably hate it less.

I'm not sure what the topic of this thread actually is. I'm not even sure what to say. I guess all I can say is that "Oh yeah, V sucks!"
