I know there are some Rush fans on this board, that's why i started this topic.
I'm a Rush fan too, and i'm very excited about the release of the next album, Clockwork Angels.

30sec clips are up for the new album, but I aint listening, for once in a many years i will wait to hear the whole thing with fresh ears. but (knowing rush fans and their scolding) i read nothing but 100% boner inducing reviews of it so ... should be good

I don't listen it, too.
Decided to buy CA on the release date (June 8 here in Holland) together with my dad, he's a bigger Rush fan me. Thanks to him i discovered the great music of Rush. Can't wait to put the CD into my CD player.

Oh man Ryan, now you got me pumped. Release date here is Tues. July 12 and I can't wait. I think it's awesome you dig their music. It's definitely thinking man's music played by master musicians. I was turned on to them when I was your age and now that I'm 30 years your senior, they still excite me. It only shows their music is timelss and spans generations. I've got my tickets for September show and I'm up close. I will email you pics for sure.

I've got it today..it's so freaking beautiful.
I've got my tickets for the June 2013 show here in Holland..pff..have to wait a year..haha..
It's an amazing album...some songs are really beautiful and also very, very catchy.
But i won't tell you too much..check it out for yourself..you won't be dissapointed.

Well, The album has been out for more than a month.
What do you guys think of it?
I really dig this album, but what did they do with Geddy's voice?
I'm sure they have done a lot of 'mixing' with his voice.
On the Cleveland DVD, his voice wasn't really good.

But anyway, the music is awesome, that's what really matters.

What do you guys think?

It hasn't really clicked with me yet. But I only gave it a few spins. I just have so much new music I'm trying to absorb it's taking a long time to get to everything, hehe. Hopefully after a few more spins I'll start to appreciate and enjoy it better.

That's what my unlce said (Who is a Rush fan for more than 30 years) too. He can't get into Clockwork Angels. It's probably easier for new fans to appreciate Rush' new style.
