Obviously we are pretty die-hard fans of Live to still be lurking and posting on a Live forum considering the band had been disbanded for well over 3 years. But most former and casual fans don't know what the name of the former lead singer of Live was and what actually happened to him.

What do you tell your casual and former Live fan buddies when they ask what happened to them?

Usually my conversations go, "hey, whatever happened to that bald guy lead singer?" I simply respond, "he (allegedly) got kicked out for stealing from his band-mates."

I think this same response will work pretty well when they see and hear the new singer.

Not necessarily. The question is going to legitimately come up a lot with the new singer. I'm just curious to see what people like us say when asked about it. I'm sure everyone has a different response.

If someone asks me I sit them down and play Iris and then play something from Alive. They just nod and walk away.

Having skipped to the bottom of this thread without reading anything (so I am not biased), I literally say, "The lead singer went all christian, demanded a lead singer bonus because he thought god wanted him to, and the band split and the former lead singer is now touring on a lukewarm concert circuit playing mostly old live songs but with christian overtones." I know it isn't entirely accurate but it makes it much easier for people to understand.
