I like it. It sounds like a guy (who's original music was horrible) who covered Live pretty well in the early 2000's in Harrisburg. What was his name? anyway, it's not him, I don't know who it is. but I like it.
I want more.

Sounds decent. No easy task to come in and replace a talent like Ed, so credit to him and if that's just him singing in a rehearsal then I think he'll be a good fit. We're so accustomed to Ed's insane vocals on Throwing Copper that anything else will likely always pale in comparison, but give this fella a chance, he's alright! thumbsup.gif

What other tracks? I can only see WFG and RTTW - both are definitely Ed

Yeah, your right. Sorry. Must have been dreaming!

Looks like they are moderating the comments before they post.

Yeah I think I like it so far. Hard to judge on one particular clip but I'll give it a shot. There are things I like and dislike about it. There's points where it gets a bit dangerously close to "Idol does rock" in the voice at the begining of the song. You know those guys that go on the Idol show and claim to be rock fans and its basically just that craig david singing with a slight rock twist to it, then its revealed their rock love are generic bands like Guns'n'Roses or something like that and wouldn't really know rock if Mike Patton were to walk into the room and beat them over the head with it.
Again not exactly like that, but there are tinges of trying to be 'too perfect' .. but then again that is exactly what Ed is doing now.

There are the moments where the voice then kicks into gear and it sounds great, I like that the backing vocals give it some depth and they're not just the singer's backing vocals layered over and over like later Live with Ed. It feels so unnatural to have the lead singer singing over the top of himself. So thats good. The outro where he rocks out some more is great.

So basically nowhere near as great as Ed circa 1994, but fuck loads better than Ed circa 2011.

Any big Chris Shinn fans out there? Can you recognise his voice easily enough to say this definitely is/isn't him?
I want to hear some more!

Oh and as always, the band sound tight as hell and awesome!
