wow was thinking about this very question yesterday. Been listening to throwing copper a lot, particularly Dam at otter creek and white discussion. I cant imagine what it would have felt like, after listening to Mental Jewelry and deciding that Live was your favourite band, to then have this monstrously amazing second album come your way....

I remember just being excited for fresh music....+LIVE+ was quickly becoming the band who was shaping my musical taste and philosophically was expanding my mind. When I bought TC and popped it into my Walkman (yes it was a cassette tape kiddies) DAOC I had to listen to again. All I can say is after listening to the album....I rushed over to my best friends (who introduced me to LIVE) house to share in the music bliss.

I loved MJ, it was new and fresh on the scene. I was one of those baby bands to keep an eye on. TC took it so into the stratosphere, new sound, more free with the instrumental patterns. I've worn out a lot of TC cd's.

I got into there music when I first heard the song Good Pain off a hacked copy of DOAD. I was already aware and following the band. Needless to say I was hooked early.

I first heard Mental Jewelry the week before TC came out. My friend was a big Live fan and had the TC release date wrong. We went to the music store so he could buy TC. I never heard of Live before that, and before we went back to work, he got MJ out of his car. I was floored.

Later that day, I went and bought MJ. The following week, I bought TC on the release date.

Absolutely LOVED it... I was a huge MJ fan, but then BOOM, here comes TC to pretty much shape my view of what music should be!
