Thanks. I found the setlist from www.setlist.fm. Obviously, it's not the most reliable of sources.

Did you go to the show? What did you think? We hardly ever get reviews posted anymore...

Yeah I went....It was a pretty high energy set and both Ed and his band seemed to be having fun. They put a couple different twists on some old +live+ songs. It was pretty cool to hear the old songs sounding different. I have uploaded some vids to youtube from the show. I'll post the links below as I upload them. I prob recorded close to 8 full songs.

I got to go backstage and hang wit Ed & the band. My wife and I even watched part of the Collective Soul set with Ed and the band from behind the stage. It was a cool experience. They were all very cool and humble...I'll see if I can upload some pics somehow.

My wife & Ed:

Me wit Ed & his band:

Youtube vids:

Ed Kowalczyk - The Distance - Union County Music Fest

Ed Kowalczyk - Drink (Everlasting Love) - Union County Music Fest

More vids to follow...Pick the HD version for better pic & sound quality also it's better to lower the volume on youtube and turn up your speakers for better sound. guitar.gif rockin.gif

BTW, we got the backstage passes by an awesome set of circumstances. It turned out a good friend of mine who I haven't seen in a long time worked on the production team that put the whole show together. I had no idea he worked for them nor did I know he was there. So I had just happened to turn myself and look over a fence and I see what I think is my friend so I just kinda call his name and look away just in case it wasn't him. I saw it was him and I waived, he came running over and we caught up for a minute. He was actually on his way to bring ED a 5 Hour Energy drink, so he left and gave it to him...5 mins later ED and the band come on stage and me and my wife are rockin out and my boy comes and puts backstage passes on us and a bracelet for free food and DRINKS!!! It was a great night to say the least!

http://nevermindtheposers.com/tag/ed-kowalczyk/

Leading off the Friday night portion of the rock show was recent former lead singer of Live, Ed Kowalczyk. Thankfully, just as LIVE had sounded when the band had headlined the Musicfest a few years back, Kowalyczyk brought the same skill and energy back, playing a tight and rocking show, albeit with a different crew. The set bounced between the obvious inclusions of LIVE songs (with “Selling the Drama,” “I Alone” and “Lakini’s Juice” being the real standouts), peppered with cuts from last year’s debut solo release Alive, which strangely rocked harder than the actual studio album sounded. Regardless, the set was great.
