So I get that this would probably never happen but I honestly think it would work.

I wish Corey Taylor would front Live.

For those that don't know who that is he is the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour(Slipknot Lite). I know, I know....those crazy metal bands that scream.

Corey Taylor is a HUGE music fan. That crazy screaming lunatic that wears masks also has done incredible covers of artists like Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Alice In Chains, Chris Isaac, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the list goes on. Most people don't really know much about him but he is an incredibly nice and very intelligent person.

He is a huge student of music and has a huge respect for it. Not to mention he can flat out sing.

Here is him singing Wicked Game:

You can damn well bet he could supply that "edge" that is talked about so much.

The AIC video would've been so much better without the extra "harmony" from drunk ass...

Wow, awesome covers. Would be a great choice, but he seems to be doing just fine with all his other stuff.

I thought he already did a great cover of I Alone, but come to think of it that was Chester Bennington of Linkin Park ..

I love Corey and his work.

I do not want him in Live.

Since it isn't for sure it is Shinn I thought another good one would be Daniel Johns, formerly of Silverchair.

They recently took a "hiatus" as well. Personally I would love this as Silverchair is in my top 5 favorite bands.

Silverchairs progression sort of mirrors Lives except that Silverchair stopped before they got to the level of SFBM. Started with grunge and ended a little poppy. Here are two videos that show how dynamic he can be:

Here is their most recent single, like I said, a little more poppy but still pretty damn good:

The kid has talent. I'll give you that. I loved their first cd, such deep grunge from kids so young. He does have a very dynamic voice.

Here's a solid live performance of Straight Lines...

I was never a big silverchair fan, but I always dug this clip from a Daniel Johns side project, covering a Tom Waits song ... he starts singing and you go "ok what the fuck is this?" and then he just switches into full Tom Waits mode, awesome.
