I was just wondering what song you all thought Live would open up their upcoming shows with. I dont think SFBM has any real openers. I would like to see them open with Lakini's Juice or possibly Iris.

Sofia might be the opener, because of the rousing opening drumline.

I think Night of Nights would make a great opener. Get Ready would make a good first song for the encore. Ed could start out solo acoustic and the whole band could kick in mid-way.

Just my opinion of what I would like to see.

Night of Nights is one of the better songs in SFBM but I dont think it would work as an opener. Right when I heard BOP I knew that Like I Do would be the opener to upcoming shows. That song was able to get the crowd going and was a great opening rocker. Although I like many of the songs on SFBM none of them are openers for a rock show.

I say Night Of Nights too. The way the guitar starts in that song would be a very cool opener! I dont think it belongs at the end of the CD at all. It would have been a good track 1 too.

Opening song would have to be a toss up between WINGS and SHOW they are perfect for an opening song. rockin.gif

well said thumbsup.gif Ed thinks so too

"Night of Nights" is funny because it’s last on the record, but it was always in my mind going to be the first song, I always thought it would be the entrance song for the record, but we switched it at the last minute because "The River" was just more appropriate for the first song. It also gives this effect of the last song being the first song in this kind of cyclical thing, at least for me, because it can be an intro song, but because it’s last, I know when I was listening to the sequence I just wanted to flip it around and listen again. It kept setting me up for "The River." I thought that was really cool."

Yea, I could see where that song would allow you to listen to the CD over and over again. Night of Nights does give a good intro. It leaves you wanting more!! rockin.gif

None, hence why Rattlesnake is filling the voice nicely .. they better not drop that before Melbourne .. I love looking at the setlists and sometimes seeing only 2 songs from SFBM featured in it, maybe the guys have realised the same thing I've been saying all along!

SFBM really doesn't have an opener IMOP, even though I'm really digging the new CD. I think Rattlesnake, Simple Creed, Iris, Like I Do are great openers and the best of all time is Where Fishes Go. I really wish they bring that song back, it had the perfect musical start with a good Taylor guitar jam before Ed starts on the lyrics!

I'd love to see Night of Nights as an opener , that would be cool.

I don't think they are going to push this album too much more though.

I dont think they should open with anything from the new album, but then again if they did at least they would be getting it out of the way. Lakinis Juice would be awesome. They openened day 2 of HFStival 2001 with LJ and it was great. With a full show, I'd rather hear LJ towards the end.

My vote: Rattlesnake! rockin.gif

Rattlesnake was an ok opening I thought. We saw them in Reading, and maybe it was Ed getting over his illness or what. But he was kinda somber the 1st 2 or 2 songs. It was a good choice I thought b/c it wasn't tooooo lively, but the crowd was kinda shocked, as they had been opening with Mystery all tour until then.

Lakini would be stupid to open with. It was by FAR the best song of the night. You save that for middle or the row or so.

And I 2nd that Showalittlelove. I'd LOVE to hear WFG in concert. Of course, I wanted to hear RTTW too. But they didn't play it. Even though it was ON the setlist and they played it the next night. angry.gif

If I was at a show and they played Where Fishes Go, you would have to pull me off the ground-LOVE THAT SONG. Wouldn't care where it was in the setlist. Like I Do is a great opener. They rocked Rattlesnake when I saw them in NYC.

Nice new avatar LIVELY CHICK!!!
