I actually listen to my edited version of the album. Looks like this (with my personal opinions):

1. Drive (like a child lyric drives me nuts, but the sound of the song is alright)
2. The Great Beyond (personally I dig the song)
3. Grace (actually think this is a pretty good song)
4. Stand (alright - solid on an album but not a single, drop "what are we fighting" lyric to improve)
5. Zion (really good song - best Ed has done in a long time)
6. Just in Time (never liked until I heard the Enmore version with the Intro. Sounds like a good concert song. Concert intro should have been part of the studio track)
7. Eat Your Love (may leave the list - up in the air on this one because I find lyrics cheesy)
8. A New World (can't believe it wasn't on the actual album - good song)

*All songs not listed are automatic skips to me so I've dropped them completely from my playlist!

I have to say I personally like this album better than V, BOP, or SFBM. For me it has more "listenable" songs.

I would have liked to have seen how this album would have turned out if it had legitimate creative input from C,C & P on the sounds and lyrics, a few different songs based on their input and the direction they wanted, and a polished up improved version of Believe that had drastically improved lyrics written by the whole band and a final cut of riffs to more similar to "Honest Man".

I think the combined forces (if allowed to actually have input) could have put out a really good album with Live performed and written versions of "Alive" tracks and an amped up version of "Believe" (scrapped and redone) as a starting point.

I'm assuming some of my list would have been improved and possibly B-Side since I'm sure a cooperative Live would have collectively put together some great stuff.

Thanks to Ed's ego and attitude we'll never actually know! no.gif

ha, interesting idea!

but you forget that The Great Beyond (make that another title, btw) needs that dditional guitarline like the guys in the moviesoundtrack did. CT would've known how to handle that nod.gif
