They've said this to me too, but given that they're doing the European festivals next year I think they'll be here in the second half of next year ...annnnd I'm hoping to be in the UK then for a few months, I got a really bad feeling about the timing of this one sad.gif haha

well i got about 10 people who will definately attend a show if it came to perth. if it is later in the year that will hopefully give the band time to become better known here.

I havent even seen the CD in JB Hi Fi yet, and if any major store would have it it'd be them. I doubt they'd do $10 tickets given the cost to come here, but it certainly won't be $70 or so like Ed's. I think we'd be more looking at somewhere between $30-$50 .. depending on the venue I guess. I can't see them doing the forum like Ed did, but maybe somewhere like The Corner, Hi Fi Bar, Prince of Wales or East Brunswick club for Melbourne would suit them and be great venues.

Does anyone really know why they haven't released the album in oz yet? I'm hoping it's because they're waiting for the Ed factor to fuck off back to the States and for his album to drift away into the sunset. Either that or they want to release the album closer to an Australian tour. I just wish they'd hurry up - I don't know about the rest of Australia but Brisbane is crying out for some kick-arse rock on the radio as well as some live (no pun intended) shows. There's been no Jet, Wolfmother or anything close lately - except maybe Powderfinger???

Anyway, bring it on boys - you've got nothing to lose as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, you'd have to wonder if it's even worth their while touring here. I imagine it will be big $$$$ for them to get to Australia. Melb has lots of great spots. I so hope we get to experience those small shows like they're putting on in the US.

I feel like I've got this secret knowing about TGF - almost don't wanna share it!

I hope to God it's true, although I'm not holding my breath on it happening any time soon. It seems something like a tour down here is generally planned quite far in advance and if nothing is in motion yet its hard to see anything in 2011 happening anyways. But if I'm still in the country when they do tour you better believe I'll be front and center!
