Absolutely blow away from this cover of It's No Good. I am hoping they actually make a studio version of this song. I am loving everything from the new album and even its first b-side! I was just thinkging though, maybe a good single to get people's attention would be to get the rights to do the cover as an actual single to get some airplay and attention for the band. As good as TGF is, they deserve to play some bigger stages than what they are scheduled to play on thie leg of the tour. I know it takes time to build a fanbase and these guys will Im sure of it! I just want it to happen fast so we can get to see and hear more from the band ang that they get the recognition they deserve! rockin.gif

Watched that today and wow, so good. Impressive. Can't wait for what's next.

I think over time they will 'be very known'

I'm with ya. Love the cover!!!! I actually like it better than the DM version. Pat's bass is rock solid and Kevin's vox work really well for this song. I wouldn't want to see a cover of any kind until the 4th/last single though. You're right, it will take time for momentum to build and they have so much great original material to draw from before they start dipping into other people's songs. I can't wait to see them nail this live!

You weren't there last night dude? Kevin mentioned you as working for the band in some way. Sounded pretty fond of you too. I think he called you Ken? Sorry for dropping your name on here, I'm just curious is all.

Trust me, the videos do now justice to this song. Being there and hearing it is something else completely. Kevin nailed the vocals so perfectly on a few songs I actually told him I though it might be a lip synch. I thought that there was no way he could possibly sound that great.

He actually sounds 10 times better singing Appetite in person than he does on the cd as you hear the song continue. His voice is so powerful, it's outright fucking astounding. You guys who get to see this band soon are in for a real fucking treat.

You have absolutely no clue as to how fucking tight this band is and how utterly powerful they sound. The more I think back to last night, the more I wish it would rewind and come back. Sean, Chad, Pat and Chad were awesome, but Kevin was fucking unbelieveable. Hands down best "live" singer I've ever witnessed and I've seen over 300 easily.

I know.

If they have the time and will, they must record it in the studio and give it for free to the fans. This way they will not make any profit of the cover and no legal issues will be involved.

They would actually still have to pay to use it even if they distribute it for free. Sucky, I know.

I was worried how Kevin will pull off all that but man oh man. He sure fucking did it. The guy has amazing range and diversity.

I wish I could have been there. It sounded like an amazing show and the videos are awesome! To answer your Q, I do not work for TGF but Kevin and I are very old friends predating Candlebox. I ran one of the studios that Candlebox did their original demos in back in 1992 and I then sold the business and joined the Candlebox crew and worked for them as their Stage Manager and Bass Tech until 1997. Candlebox is and always will be close family to me but I am so excited for this opportunity for Kevin, Sean and all of the boys. It is a fresh, new creative outlet for all involved and I can't wait to see where this journey takes them!

It's been fascinating to sit back and watch the activity over the past months to see how Kevin and Sean would be received into this awesomely dysfunctional family! ; ) He really is a down to earth dude who calls things as he sees them. Sometimes people aren't used to his direct, no BS approach but I think it's refreshing considering how most frontmen conduct themselves.

Don't worry about outing my name, no biggie there. May name is actually, Kent.

Hehe, well nice to meet you dude. Any old Candlebox stories you could share would be awesome! He mentioned you a few times and obviously holds you in very high regard. Sounded to me he was disappointed you weren't on tour with him.

And yeah, I found him to be a very unique person. Say it like it is, if someone is acting like a douche, call em a fucking douche and get over it with a beer or something. I enjoyed talking to him immensely and was very glad to be able to buy him a drink. I don't think there is another vocalist on earth who's voice could possibly fit better with this music.

I really enjoyed the cover too (via youtube) and I had never heard the song before. I know, I know - Im not much of a DM guy.... SO I downloaded the original and was left thinking ....

WOW im glad TGF covered this one, because there is NO way i would care for this song otherwise.

I cant wait to get a proper recording of it live with mic stand and all. Or someone else, for that matter. The youtube videos (while nice looking) lack bass and punch of the actual sound in the club.
