I didn't know the chart updated yet.

I wasn't going to say anything, but since you provoked:
What happened to TGF outselling Ed 10-1, or even 2-1? Are you okay with its chart position?

Nick, drop this. TGF just started in the charts. They may go higher and sell millions or flop. The prediction was possibly made out of emotional urges and not of market criteria. If you want to debate, create a separate thread.

Most self-released albums from the past year(Ed, Tonic, Better Than Ezra, Vertical Horizon to name a few) get one week on the chart before falling off. There isn't enough TGF product on the shelves to support two weeks on Billboard.

I will drop it though. I think 168 is a good position for an indie album to debut in a busy September. It was just below all the high expectations of certain members of this board.

Silliness aside, I was never one for these chart things - but are all these figures good or bad? From the responses, it appears to favour TGF - anyone wanna elaborate on how they tally these?

Perhaps it was below high expectations, it is below my expectations. But when we like something we tend to believe that everybody esle should like it too.

Since I provoked, let's see it grow. It wont tank. Lots of people popping in on tgf's facebook page to say they discovered the record and will be spreading the word.

I'll get the other #'s when I can.
