These guys are freaking great. I'll be seeing them on Friday, and I'm totally fucking psyched. Catch Without Arms is a sweet album, as is Leitmotif. I think I like CWA more, though. Unfortunately, I don't have El Cielo yet, which I hear is their best. Anyway, any other fans?

Dredg is a fucking awesome band. I saw them awhile back like six years ago. They grew up in Los Gatos, which is next door to where I live. I love Sang Real. One of my favorite songs. I'm going start listening to them again. Haven't for awhile.

I really don't know the band at all, but I'm really jealous of anybody seeing them in the USA. I'd give an appendage to see the support band, Ours.

*goes to check out Dredg*

From the MySpace stuff, they sound pretty good - must find out more.

I LOVE these guys!!! I saw them open for Coheed and Cambria. They were amazing. Their music is incredible.

On a side note, my in-laws are close friends with the guitar players family but yeah.

CWA is my fave....Matroshka is one of my all time faves.

'bucky buddy...have a great time and want to hear all about it.

Desert Water....where you from? The SU grew up in Saratoga/LG area....

I like them, one of the bands I've been meaning to get more of their stuff but never seem to end up doing it. I do have a few of their songs though, very good smile.gif Favorite would probably be 'The canyon behind her'

Ours is a great band, but I can't seem to get into Dredg for some reason.

I really like lietmotif, but I've never enjoy el cielo very much, and haven't listened to cwa enough to have much of an opinion of it. The Waterbourne soundtrack is pretty pimp too. Being from the bay area, I've seen these guys a couple times, in smallass (I'm talking, like 50 people) coffee shops and shit. Goodtimes.

CWA is ok.. I'm just annoyed by some of the effects they used here, like the 'laugh' effect.

When I listen to lietmotif, it makes me think that dredg is the kind of band live would be. None of them are exceptionally skilled of players, none of their music does anything extremely new/innovative...yet they write some pretty cool music. They manage to have a good balance of skill and creativity going on. They have some catchy tunes, some instrumental stuff, and some heavier songs. I think Live would benefit from giving lietmotif a few listens. You don't have to do anything amazinglg technical or absurdly creative...you just have to have a little bit of both. These guys do. Live did, but no longer does.
