I saw the setlist of July 9th (see below).
Do anyone know if Ed's playing a stale setlist every night (and so we can expect exactly this when he comes back in Europe?). Just wondering, to prepare friends that will join me in september if he will play many Live songs or not.

Looking to the selist, it's quite a decent mix of Live and Alive songs.
Only really odd addition of Ed is Beauty of Gray? Oke it's a fan-favorite, but there are so many others that are favorites, that he doesnt choose? I don't complain though, I've always liked that song!

1. Just In Time
2. The Great Beyond
3. All Over You
4. Selling the Drama
5. Zion
6. Stand
7. The Dolphin's Cry
8. Soul Whispers
9. Drink
10. Drive
11. Heaven
12. I Alone

Encore
13. The Beauty of Gray
14. Grace
15. Rome
16. Lightning Crashes

I'm guessing Europe will get They Stood up for Love and Overcome. Not sure what other differences will be in store. I guess we'll see soon.

Man doesn't change. When I talked to him backstage last time Live was here I asked if they'd start playing a few songs I was interested in hearing. He replied along the lines of they'd have to rehearse the songs before playing them and they don't really have time to do so on the road.

At that show there was actually a fan in the front that had a giant Heropsychodreamer sign. She was also backstage and Ed said he saw the sign but they didn't play it because they hadn't rehearsed it.

I've already said my piece on the stale setlists, so I won't start up again.

I'm positive he has the same philosophy with his new band, especially since they probably don't know the Live songs they haven't pracitced at all. I'm planning on going, despite this, but I still haven't bought the tickets yet.

Doesnt this prove to everyone that he's give no shit to what the fans wanted? He always had an excuse. Forgetting lyrics, etc......if the so called songs were that so near & dear, now that he is stating that Live's material was all his and nothing but his.........sounds like the worst hypocrite in music history.

heh .. plenty of bands rehearse on the road, bands that have families too, nothing should make Live or Ed get any special treatment, it comes down to pure laziness.

ahh well, but you do know that his stratement towards Hoodstock wasn't the truth right? If you read Chad's long blog post a while ago, you can see it wasnt about time they missed. The whole chemistry of being a band was what they missed for years (appearently). They didn't spent much time with Ed before of after the shows, so that's why there was no rehearsing.

Cool. Overcome (new version) was the only surprise May 5th, so would be nice to hear that again.
They Stood up for Love? I don't think he has ever played that with the band, but I can be wrong.

I'm very surprised he didn't play the River, mystery, or sofia. I think it would mesh with his setlist.

This happens when you steal from your own band mates.

I am sure the dislike came from the larger portion of the group based on built up frustrations, coupled with the stealing.
