Nice!

I saw Van Halen with DLR in Philadelphia a couple of years ago when they had that tour that ended prematurely. The show was Awesome! Classic VH has always been my favorite (next to Live of course). I grew up on classic Van Halen. I never accepted the curly red-headed freak as the lead singer. I will definitely be all over this tour and album.

I saw Sammy in 1995 on the Balance Tour. It was very good. Saw them again at Hershey Park in 2004 on the tails of the GH collection. Didn't go to the reunion tour, too busy. I do have some of the ROIO's from that tour in my ipod, and I wish I did go. Always loved VH, with the exception of the Gary Cherone mistake.

I can clearly remember walking to the record store at the mall on the day that 1984 came out and buying the vinyl record album. I excitedly brought that baby home and put it on my turntable in my bedroom and cranked it! Hearing Hot For Teacher and Panama for the first time was a thrill. I had just read Orwell's book because it was, after all, 1984, and I remember the space-age keyboard intro before Jump making me think about Orwell and big brother. My aunt and uncle and cousins were visiting for the day and I ignored them all day in favor of listening to my new Van Halen album.

I really liked DLR's solo stuff. If you don't have it, you should check out the DLR band album. It is as close to classic Van Halen as you could get for the past 25 years. It's really good.

I think I will wear my Van Halen concert T shirt to one of the upcoming TGF concerts.

Glad you liked it. I thought it was horrible. I promptly returned it for my money back and then bought Metallica's Re-Load

And then I hope you promptly asked for your money back for that piece of junk too. I didn't like Load and Re-Load. IN my opinion, Metallica lost it after the black album.

Actually no. I probably should. But it seemed like Hetfield started to try and sing instead of scream and it is actually the vocals that I don't like anymore. I liked his voice on Master of Puppets.

I like their old stuff, and I really like Metallica's sell out phase too.

Oke, then maybe you should listen to it (Death Magnetic). Not that it is my favorite (as I can appreaciate Load, Re-Load and even Metallica doing covers on Garage Inc. as well), but old school fans all say the 2008 record is their best since And Justice For All. The 2008 lead single (The Day that Never comes) isn't totally representive for the album though, but not bad either.

However, there was indeed a kind of 'sell out phase yeah'. I say I Mission Impossble II *cough* sarcasm.gif.
