Only second time I ever felt one here (or anywhere) anyone feel that? I'm in southwestern Ontario, people in Quebec felt it stronger. Wonder where it was?

Ya, it just rattled the house for 10 seconds or so. Already news reports coming in. Felt all across the northeast. Just tuning in to the news now.

It's not a massive thing or anything, they are saying maybe a 4 but this is very rare in this part of the world.

I'm in Toronto, felt it here too!

First time for me. I thought I was sick or fainting but then I noticed the water in my glass moving around. Then I thought maybe some kind of construction in the building or that the building was going to fall down.

How strange. I blame it on the G20.

I didn't feel a thing. I was out having a cool one on the street and felt nothing. Those closer to Ottawa area really noticed it. Some windows broken in high office buildings but not many.

Here's a link to some info and a place to report your personal experiences (or lack of them in my case): http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/rec.../us2010xwa7.php

Some people thought it was a bomb underground. Not beyond the bounds of possibility but fortunately not really what happened.

Yeah, a friend of mine who lives near the subway was in his basement when it happened. He thought for sure it was a bomb, especially after this morning's shut-down.

Yeah man, the whole lower half of the Yonge-Uni-Spadina line was closed until 9:30am because some dumbass left a suitcase unattended on the platform at Queens Park.

It wasn't a threat though, thank goodness. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/...article1614429/

I heard today that one of my former TAs at university lives on Toronto Island and nearly shut down somewhere because he left a what he called a shopping cart "parked" while he did errands. I hope it wasn't him that shut everything down lol.gif
