Hi everyone. I wanted to share something with you guys that I thought you'd all enjoy. Kind of a long read but I'll try to make it as painless as possible.

A few years ago, I had the idea for Operation Thank You. Basically, I was going to buy around 1000 t-shirts with the words "Thank You" written across the front of them. I envisioned setting up a small tent or two, and handing out the shirts for free, at a Live concert. I thought about how cool it would be if I had a guest book set up, so that people could sign their names, say where they were from, or maybe even have a space to write a little comment or whatever. I guess Twitter and the like have kinda deminished the use of a guest book....but what about all of those shirts??? I wanted the +boys+ to come out onto stage, to a literal SEA of THANK YOUs. I don't believe it would have taken much in the way of support to pull it off. Maybe a volunteer and a couple of key players, from the Live camp and the venue. But just think about it, what the guys would have thought having seen it. I tell you, it would have been worth the effort....times a million. But, I got busy, got side tracked, and well now it's a little too late for my plan, at least as described above.

So, I plan on making a t-shirt for just myself, to wear at whatever shows I attend, and I got to thinking about what 'Thank You' really means. Using a search engine, I quickly came up with some good stuff, all from the same source. In order I looked up:

1) Thank You - Expressing one's gratitude.

2) Gratitude - A feeling of thankfullness & appreciation.

3) Appreciation - Understanding of the nature or meaning or quality or magnitude of something.

What really made me want to share my story, is when I read 'magnitude of something' and really the entire definition of 'appreciation'. That is just so perfect a term to describe the +Live+ journey that I've been on for so many years. Jesus, when I think about all of the good times that I've been able to have and share, and when I read those 3 definitions, I am truely speechless. I really wish I could have made the sea of Thank You's a reality, but if other fans get the same feelings I do when I think about what it means, what it really means, then I guess that's pretty good too.

Thank you CAG, Chad, Pat & Ed.......always.

That's awesome!

All I can say is, "Thank You" for sharing your idea.

P.S. I think these shirts should be made, just to share to positive vibe of the word and meanings - everyone around the world could use a "Thank You" everyone once in a while - it's used too little.

Thanks for all of your comments. I really dropped the ball on this one, but who knows, maybe it will mean even MORE during the reunion tour!!!!! lol.gif

T-shirt ordered, with a special message on the back. As soon as it comes in, I'll share a pic with everyone.
