I was just digging through old LIVE! mp3's and decided to crank up the audio room for a solid 4 hours of high quality listening since the wife and daughter were out for the day.

Like most, I relish the first four albums... to this day there is nothing that sound like them. Things sorda went awry on V, but neverthe less, 4 awsome discs isn't bad at all for any band.

One of my favorite "not on a disc" tracks is Still Aroused. Does anyone have some great versions of that song that I can get? I have the studio version I guess, but any other live versions or demo versions would be cool to have. I don't get why that never made it to one of their discs.

There's an audio concert recording of Still Aroused from the 1998-06-20 Charlotte show.

I don't have this show with me at the moment, but if you can wait a couple of days I can track down a copy...

Thanks again.

I think a TDTH with these songs would have been a completely different album:

Vine Street
Don't Wait
Still Aroused
Change

It's almost like they cut all the really aggressive rockers except for WFG.

Walk In the Dream and FTQQR are the other 2 rockers...let's not forget.

WITD was totally buried. I wish that was played in concert, it really rocked out.

And dont forget Deeper. Those four are not only more agressive/rockier, but also darker I think. So with those songs it would indeed be a different album, and it would make it more a follow up to SS I think.

TDTH is one of my favorite discs but it was clear and they even stated so that it was going to be a total departure just like SS was from TC.

A bunch of thoughts:

-I still don't understand why Deeper wasn't on the album. It was clearly mixed to be on there, and it would have been a great fit.
-I'm glad they did a departure from SS, but even those outtakes had a different feel than that album. It's like they got lost somewhere in between writing and demoing sessions. Don't Wait and Change especially are just badass tunes.
-WWID was totally buried, and one of the best songs on the album.

When you put together 'your own' track list for TDTH, what order to you put the songs in? What do you add from the outtakes and what do you cut from Live's version of the album? I always use the alt mix of Sparkle, for example.

Whoever gave us that distorted mp3 of Don't Wait should be revisited and give us a nicer rip now that the band has called it quits. Who leaked it?

What? Have you downloaded the version of Don't Wait from the 1998 TDTH Demos?
