10 minutes ago I demonstrated my total brilliance as a semi smart life form on this planet.

One stupid move and I erased EVERYTHING from 2009 and 2010. no.gif

EVERYTHING! cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

I am so stupid ~ what in hell was I thinking sitting on a peaceful Sunday morning trying to reorganize my music folders??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Don't EVER use Shift Delete to remove a folder. Rather just send the bloody thing to the recylcle bin. Damn! Damn! DAMNIT!!!!!

If you stop using your computer now, then there's a good chance you can use data recovery software to undelete the files... I would recommend taking the hard drive out of your PC and then using some sort of file recovery software to get back what you inadverdently deleted.

If you need some advice, let me know.

Thanks guys! Thank goodness for a best friend who has a hard drive that almost mirrors mine. I got most of it back and then downloaded the latest new stuff again.

So I'm all sorted. Took a solid day but hey, I consider it time well spent!!!!

Thanks again for the offer! thumbsup.gif

Might be a good idea to get an external hard drive and do regular back ups. I think we've almost all learned that the hard way. thumbsup.gif
