Can't sleep, shuffling the ipod...............I want My Gracious Few.

Oh the countless songs these guys can play.......plus their disc too.

Can't wait to hear the musical genius and raw ripping sound.

Not too much talk here lately on the board......things are quiet. We are still awaiting the show dates. This is no contest, this is about doing what people feel they should do. Give the people what they've been clamoring for!!! Angst like the Sex Pistols!!

I want My Gracious Few!!!!

Rock On Pat, Chad, Chad, Sean & Kevin!!

Leaves are falling all around, It's time I was on my way.
Thanks to you, I'm much obliged for such a pleasant stay.
But now it's time for me to go. The autumn moon lights my way.
For now I smell the rain, and with it pain, and it's headed my way.
Sometimes I grow so tired, but I know I've got one thing I got to do...

*Ramble On, And now's the time, the time is now, to sing my song.
I'm goin' 'round the world, I got to find my girl, on my way.
I've been this way ten years to the day, Ramble On,
Gotta find the queen of all my dreams.

Got no time to for spreadin' roots, The time has come to be gone.
And to' our health we drank a thousand times, it's time to Ramble On.

Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah.

Gonna ramble on, sing my song. Gotta keep-a-searchin' for my baby...
Gonna work my way, round the world. I can't stop this feelin' in my heart
Gotta keep searchin' for my baby. I can't find my bluebird!

Think it's just a thread telling of anticipation, and then song lyrics to reflect current emotions or something.

You want your head testing if you think either TGF are going to sound like the Sex Pistols or that the Sex Pistols had anything to do with angst of any description. It was all about the filth and the fury! I somehow can't see TGF sounding anything like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjyqpxkKJCM

Never mind the bollocks, here's the Fag Whore Cuties! lol.gif

I always preferred The Damned anyway. Ooooohooohoo Smash it up, smash it up smash it uhup! Can't see Kevin pulling off Dave Vanian's look somehow.

I couldn't sleep last night. I was listening to Pat D's podcast from last year and there was a reference to Live's performances in the early days made by BAD's singer (Mick Jones) to Pat. (so that's where Angst like the Sex Pistols)...not that they sounded like them....the emotion.

Needed to drive some TGF discussion or perhaps Senghe's Whore Fag Cuties schtick!!

Yes I wrote it.

See, you love me really. I hope it gives TGF a good laugh too.

I get what you mean now, but angst is just not the right word. That spewing out of explosive passion and ferocity from a band is born more from anger than angst. I don't think it's sustainable long term in a band's career. Look at U2 for a classic example. Their first 3, maybe 4 albums were powerful, raw and delivered with searing honesty and passion. After nearly 30 years I can still remember every word of those songs despite not listening to any Boy, October, War or The Unforgettable Fire since the mid/late 80s. Then I don't know what fuck happened with The Joshua Tree and almost everything they've done since.

Ahhh - BAD - I forgot all about them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jc8zkz9XSRU

I think maybe they were.

I don't know if I'm getting more pumped up because of the samples or OutToDry's amazing posts.

So, the album is mixed, I wonder when it will be mastered? Then I guess it'll be at least 2 months before it releases.

What if it comes out the same day as Ed's album? That would be hilarious.

What would be more hilarious is if out to dry doesn't end up liking it as much as he thinks.
