Peter stuyvesant's stale odour permeates his cells. Broke and alone, Wam pushes through the sea of hollow grolsch stubbies in breaststroke fashion and finds his keyboard. And sings...."Its a saturday night i guess that makes it alright!!!"

In what situation would Ed sing better with vampire teeth and a birthday suit?

well i'd like to thank everyone for trying.

During the recording sessions for TDTH ed was having an off night with run to the water. they did some ridiculous amount of takes but it just wasnt working. Ed went out to dinner with a few others and the producer i think and polished off a bottle or two of red wine. Came back at some stupid time in the morning and ed, completely pissed, stripped down to his bare butt and smashed run to the water in one solid take, which is the final studio recording that ended up on the album.

kinda makes you think of the song differently huh?

you may be right, cant remember what interview i heard it or read it, but it was just the image of a drunk naked ed singing that song that seems to have stuck in my mind. Now thats rock n roll

I'd presume the 'vampire' teeth refers to the red wine they were drinking. Ha, I had no idea that Ed was naked and presumably a bit tipsy while recording the album take of RTTW!

being a big red wine drinker myself when petrol is too expensive, im in a percentage of the population that is affected by the highly pigmented substance called chromagen in red wine. My teeth go pretty dark, as do ed's if you've seen the awake interview, and it's colloquially reffered to as vampire teeth

Oh... Having never drank red wine and being a newer live fan I wouldn't know any of this. Glad i didn't think on it for more than 3 minutes.
