Friendsoflive disappears with nothing but a store catalogue left.

We hear about the break up / hiatus with nothin other than a few twitter posts and a couple of interviews and then wham....it's over. For two years at least.

But damn....wikipedia even has the current hiatus listed.

If you're not a live fan and you live in a cave.....get the internet and google them, hit the wikipedia page you get this:

LIVE the band

Hiatus and the future: 2009–present
The members of Live announced in June 2009 that the band would be taking a two-year hiatus as they work on other projects. Kowalczyk plans to release a solo album (produced by CJ Erickson) and the other band members formed a group with Kevin Martin and Sean Hennessy of Candlebox.[11] called "The Gracious Few" (www.thegraciousfew.com). The band is currently recording an album in California and plan for release in early 2010.

Oh well, lets see what the next two years brings. Don't reckon I'm going to give up just yet. I can still live in hope.

Gotta give it to wikipedia though.... at least it's updated regularly and not just a dump page with an old list of songs.

How do you mean "damn....wikipedia even has the current hiatus listed" ? The message on wikipedia is even more positive than the rumours and things we've heard lately wink.gif.
Then again, Wikipedia is just based on the facts. But indeed it's very up to date, as it lists Ed's producer.

Very positive. Nick probably posted it!

I'm going to go on Wiki and add that they walked away from their fans, shut down their website, and left everyone hanging without an explanaition like dingleberries on a cow!

Not sure if you realize it, but anyone can post on Wikipedia as long as they are a registered user. This isn't exactly LIVE getting any real attention - it's most likely just some really dedicated fan(s) keeping the LIVE entry up-to-date.

Closest recent thread that I could find of any relevance in the moment that I could be bothered looking. But anyway, during the Brownlow count tonight, they played Forever during one of several montages featuring highlights of (winner) Gary Ablett's season. A little attention there, I guess. Never even once heard the song on the radio so it was an interesting choice.

(For those on the other side of the lake, the brownlow is the nationally televised function where they go through the football season and announce the so-called 'best and fairest' player.)

not surprising, ive heard so many obscure live songs during footy games and related shows, clearly someone in the control room has a hard on for live. Sweet release and All i Need come to mind
