So come on, who rocks the table either online or in person? What's your game (Hold'em, 7 Card Draw?), where do you play, what stakes etc etc. What's the story?

I've not been playing for the longest time, so my stakes are still fairly modest at the moment, but I love Texas Hold'em. I started plying my trade at PitbullPoker.com (a good, simple site), but have since moved onto Pokerstars.

How about you guys?

Thanks for making a new Poker thread. The one I made (about 15 threads down) was getting to hot with all the action:

Probably because the flames from the fire it started were to bright.

I mostly play Hold'em. In fact I had a party about 3 weeks ago and am in the process of finishing my basement, which will require another party.

My lil bro is actually playing online in the room next to me, on Pokerstars. He's made hundreds of pounds playing it. In my short online poker career I made about $70. I don't have a ruthless streak which you need for the game. I'm also pretty conservative with money. Not the right requisites for poker really. I might be tempted back into it though. If I ever do I'll give you the heads up on a heads up wink.gif

I don't mind a bit of Texas Hold'em. I'm not particularly good. But I did get to play a few hands of poker with Alice Cooper a couple of years back at a casino here in Perth.

An old school Detroit rocker. Nice!

I actually was in Vegas for the main event a few years back and I was able to watch Phil Ivey and walked right by Hachem in the lobby. I cannot claim that I played, but that is a dream of mine!

Won at two double or nothing tables earlier. Only small stakes but it's good stuff.

Entered into a double or nothing tournament yesterday, only it was Omaha! I didn't know when I entered but, thankfully, I managed to fluke my way to victory. Swish.

I went to this place on Sunday night. It was a cool tournament. They have a couple a week:

I ended up coming in third. I was middle stack heads up against the big stack in a hand. We both checked all the way through the river and I caught a straight, acted first and went all in. He called and I thought I had him and would double up (or a tie at worst) and he caught the high end of the straight. I had the low end. It was a damn good had to push heads up!

Cool stuff, bad luck on being outdrawn - that's a pain in the ass - but coming third is good. I'd love to go play poker live, but I don't know of any games near my area. By the way, what was the buy in / prize fund?

I <3 Omaha. Far easier to earn money from than Hold'em.

Buy in was $20. The prize for first was around $300.
