Well with the news of Live taking a break, if it's two years or forever, I thought it would be a good time to reflect. What are some of your favorite memories of Live this past 20 years?

My list in no particular order

--First time I saw them in 95 at the Spectrum in Philly. I was 13 my dad had to take me.

--The memory of every place and time I picked up their next new CD

--Meeting the guys backstage and at the after party of the York Fair show on 9/11/04

--Having one of my best friends play "Get Ready" during my Wedding ceremony, and dancing to the piano version of "They Stood up for Love" with my wife for our first dance.

--Listening to "Overcome" and being brought to tears after 9/11

So many other memories throughout the years, but those are probably my top 5.

That's a simple, but very powerfull one. One I can certainly share with you, and I think many other fans as well. It's just something magical, every time I went to the local c shop last few years, searching for the new Live album and taking it into my hands!
All the other memmories sound very good as well, but ofcourse I can't share them as they are very personal wink.gif
One of my greatest moments is another simple one: just the first time I saw them. I became fan at a young age, and have been long time fan after that without ever seeing them for quite some time. Than in 2004 I finally went to a show, and at the moment you are standing eye-to-eye with the creators of your favorite music for the first time is wonderfull.

One of my favorites was seeing them at Zetafest in Miami in summer 2001. They closed an all-day festival that included Sevendust and SOAD. The day of the show, for some reason they had to change venues from one with multiple stages to a venue with only one stage. As a result, there were too many bands and they all got pushed back and back and Live ended up not going on stage until around midnight. It was a GA show outdoors in the Miami summer heat, which was very tolerable at midnight. The crowd was really pumped and most of us had been waiting for Live for over 12 hours. It was the first time I was in the front row for a Live show, and they came out and opened with Lakini's Juice, which I still think is the greatest opener they have. After the agonizing wait, seeing Taylor come out and bust out the opening riff of LJ was surreal. Was a bold statement that nothing was stopping them from rocking that night, and they did. Pure awesomeness.

having a friend hand me a copy of TDTH and telling me "Dude, you gotta listen to this dolphin song!" and then being covered from head to toe in goosebumps halfway through the first listen!

Ahh.. too bad I've no live Live memories to speak of.. but still, I can't forget how awesome it was to hear Pain Lies on the Riverside on cassette tape (I've never heard anything from them before, but I was intrigued by a very passionate review on a local music mag). First track of the first Live album. That started it all.

My first Live gig with my Dad back in 1997 at the ripe old age of 12, still my favorite gig ive seen them do. Goosebumps when they struck those first chords of Rattlesnake, I remember thinking "holy shit, thats LIVE!"

Meeting the guys backstage in 04 (or was it 05...) and 06 was very cool.

Ive told the story before about what the song Flow does for me. That moment of being in the middle of the worst period of my life, listening to V on the train on the way into the city to the football, 'Flow' coming on just as the sun broke out and the MCG came into view, for some reason just suddenly for a briefe moment being filled with intense happiness for no real reason, and the fact that song continues to do that for me, just one of 'those' moments.

The first time you put a new Live album on after buying it, we'll just forget the horror of the first time hearing SFBM the whole way through.

The 2001 gig's version of White Discussion, I remember that being off the fucking charts, CT running head first into his amps almost knocking them all over.

So many memories, but here goes:

1. Getting introduced to their music via my best friends walkman in Jr. High, my first song was PLOTR, I was hooked.

2. Listening to a bootlegged copy of DOAD from my best friend who owned the original cassette, but lost it some how.

3. Going to my first show in 1992 Dayton, Ohio with three older friends I was 13 years-old.

4. Taking my wife to her first show three years ago in Reading, PA.

5. The last show I saw with my best friend Nate (RIP) 2000 in Louisville, KY.

Ah, that is my DREAM!!!
Oh to go to Amsterdam and see Live perform... inlove.gif
My fave memories are :

-The first time I saw them. Secret Sam tour, Austin, Tx. I thought to myself, "Eh, what the hell, I guess I'll go see Live, they're pretty cool." They took the stage, I stood there with my jaw and the ground, and another die-hard Live fan was born.
-Black Mountain tour, still Austin, Tx. I met Ed by the tour bus and kissed him on the cheek eyebrow.gif My friend took a couple of pics of Ed and me, and then LOST THEM!!!! So, this has to be my favorite MEMORY- I don't have a hard copy.

stoned.gif this smilie is just because I think its funny.
