So I still wonder where "the EK" will play in Melbourne. The Forum is the best venue in Melbourne but it's better for bands and you can still get about 1500 people in there so it's not a small venue. I'd love to see Ed in a more intimate venue, depends on how much advertising this gets I guess ... selfishly I hope not a great deal. I'd love to see him at a place like Ding Dong lounge, the melvins played there earlier this year, it's a large pub venue but still a pub .. there were maybe 200 people at the show, reasonably packed in but it was amazing.

The Corner! Now theres a fantastic idea, actually in an ideal world I'd choose the Northcote Social Club, intimate venue with great acoustics!

The Palms would work beautifully. That'd be my bet, especially if he's sticking with the acoustic thing. I'd like that.

Being a little more selfish, the Northcote would be fantastic. Being *really* selfish, would be to suggest Ruby's up in Belgrave.

One of the best gigs I've been to was Crowded House at the Corner, secret show in 2007 before their comeback tour. That was pretty damn awesome but would still pick one of the above venues in an ideal world.

To be really selfish, if you could kick out all the fucking dead beats that go there then the pony would be a great place, the sound in there is fantastic, about 50 people or so with couches and a little stage in the corner .. but the punters at that place drive you away.

Dates are up at EddieKlive.com and the front page of this thread:

http://www.eddieklive.com/tourdates.php

From FOL:

It’s official! Eddie will be visiting Australia to perform a few solo acoustic shows! Check out www.eddieklive.com for all of the show listings and ticketing information.

Homespun members: we were able to set up ticket presales for these Eddie solo shows! The presales all begin on Tuesday July 7nd at 9AM (local time for each venue) and will run until July 8th at 10AM (local time) or until presale tickets sell out, whichever occurs first. Homespun members just need to log into Homespun online to get access to these presales! We will post all of the information there on Monday for all the presales.

Would love a copy if you're open to a B&P? I was shattered when I missed tickets - I remember the email to fans announcing the show got sent out at 3am the morning they went on sale and I didn't check my email until 10am at which point they were of course gone sad.gif

Sweet the forum will be awesome, will be interesting to see how many people go, the place can hold 1500 - 2000 people at a max, i wouldnt have thought he'd get that many but who knows.
