I tried searching the forums before I posted, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to start a thread and see what kind of results I get. smile.gif

I purchased a guitar recently and I want to start learning how to play some of the "easier" Live songs. A guitarist friend of mine suggested Heropsychodreamer, which is great because I love the song, but I'm wondering if there are any skilled guitarists out there that might be able to suggest a few other easier Live songs for me to start plucking out on the guitar.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. smile.gif

I don't play guitar, but I pick up my brother's every once and a while and try to play. Speaking from a noob's point of view, I found "Century" was pretty easy.

Lightning crashes is the easiest by far, I alone is pretty simple as well. You are the world is pretty simple, there is not any super easy songs to play off the distance to here album, but SFBM is a pretty simple album to play to. esp. Love Shines. But I started off with Lightning crashes, I alone and Forever may not be long enough. actually Oasis is a great band to learn guitar from. more basic easy rock style riffs that can really be helpful when learning LIVE songs. hope this helps

I have been playing for about 30 years now, if your looking to be self taught I would suggest the program Guitar Pro 5, one of the features of this program is the ability to down load hundreds of thousands of scores and tablature files so you can learn entire songs in a matter of minutes. The program is available at most Guitar Centers or mail order and runs about $60.00

Honestly, once you learn a couple of them, a lot of them are fairly similar and pretty fricking easy. Lightning Crashes was the first song I learned. Most of the Mental Jewelry stuff is about as basic as it gets.

Once you start practicing and are getting better and what not, Turn My Head and Peace is Now are both pretty fun to play and aren't difficult.
