Maybe no one on this board cares a shit, but I was wondering if there are many people on this forum are playing guitar. And if so: which ones do you have. Maybe it's nice to discuss guitar (when there are enough guitarists here among us?)

I'll start with mine. I have to add: I play guitar only less than 3 years, so I don't have many, and so these aren't very interesting for pro's, I guess

But whatever, here we go:

Behringer
my first start guitar
don't know the type though...maybe iAXE393 ?

Not really a guitar that you can call good or pro, it's just really a basic standard electric guitar, and the reason i bought this one was because a amplifier (or how do ya call it in English?) was included in the package. I had to start learning to play a guitar after all, so I didn't want to make too much money on something that I maybe wouldn't like

Aria Pro II - Mac
I wanted a better one

As I wanted learning playing guitar a bit more, I got this one from a friend. A better guitar, that has a good rocksound, but not a groundbreaking sound or something. Just good enough for that time. The only difference between mine and the one on the pics, is a small flag of Brittain on the front of the guitar

Ephiphone Les Paul - Standard, sunburst
the one I use at the moment

Last year, I wanted a good guitar that I could play for years on and for the first time I really cared what it would look like. By than I was inspired by the les paul type, the best known rock guitar out there. Every famous rock guitarist played on such a guitar sometime. There are very different types of the Les paul, but I went for the standard, and I really liked the colour 'sunburst' (the 'classic' type).
As guitarists among us know, Gibson has the copyright on the original Les Paul's, and all the other brands make 'look a like' Les Paul's. But, Epiphone, that's a part of Gibson, is the only not-Gibson guitar (or you can call it a lill bit a Gibson guitar), that make the Les Paul guitar almost exactly as Gibson does. The difference is the used material on it etc, but it is much less expensive than a real Gibson Les Paul. I heard that even some famous rockbands perfer the Epihphone above the Gibson (don't know why). And because I'm not that rich that I can buy such a expensive guitars, my choice was a Ephiphone(Gibson) Les Paul Standard, suburst. smile.gif

well... show yours!!

Hey guys!

Thought I would throw my own equipment into the mix: a Vintage SG copy, Eastwood acoustic (black) and Session Pro Telecaster (no pic though yet, sorry!)

Likewise, have not been palying for more than 5 years, but am proud of how I have spent my money smile.gif

Also, don't suppose anyone could possibly help me with the tabs/chords for 'Show', could you? I have been wanting to play this great song ever since I bought SFBM!

This is my guitar:

Paul Reed Smith Custom 22. Whale Blue, 10 top, Artist Edition.

I used to have an SG and a Strat but sold them after I got this. There just wasn't much point having them anymore, since after I got my PRS I never used them. Still, if it wasn't for the money it would've been nice to have multiple guitars.

And amp:

I have a very rubbish cheapo beginner electric, which has "Freshman" written on it. Laugh if you must, but I've learnt okay on it. Eventually I want a better one.

I have a very nice old acoustic that sounds gorgeous when I plunk it and this teardrop shaped Starway that needs renovating. I inherited both.

Sadly my guitar playing talents only extend as far as the air guitar. lol.gif

I play a black Celebrity Ovation. It's an electric acoustic guitar.

It has a hard composite Lyrachord GS body that improves projection and reflects top vibrations better than traditional material and lighter and stronger than a completely wooded acoustic.

This is mine:

I have no access to photo's of my guitars but ive got three:

1 Betty: she's an acoustic GL Chinese number (and she's Black)

2 the Gremlin a Paul Garrett signature edition Les Paul replica also black

3 the artful dodger a very old classical nylon string that I found on the side of the road. Some people have no respect.

I am a drummer, but used to play a guitar in a funk band some 8-10 years ago. Never had it. Lended one from the guitarist. Anyway. Let me tell you that this one sounds awesome for funking out.

Hooray for bringing up old threads! This is what I'm rocking at the moment...

IPB Image

Being a Vintage Vs6 it's quite a basic piece really, but after popping a string on my old guitar and being offered this for free (technically I'm "borrowing" it, but it's not going anywhere soon), I couldn't say no. I didn't want to either, check out that funky paint job!

My old guitar is sat in the cupboard waiting to be restringed, which I could do any time, I just haven't bothered since I've had the Vs6 to play. Now I'm looking into getting some new gear of my own. Again. I looked last year and nothing came of it, but this time I'm looking for something to get around my birthday and/or Christmas. I really want something new, both acoustic and electric.

For the acoustic, I'm looking at this with big beady eyes; I think it looks great, really cool yet classy. I can't explain it. Then for the electric, I'm still dancing around an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, but I've also warmed to the Strats quite recently as well. Really do like that Yamaha acoustic though, it's a very tempting price.

A piece of crap Ibanez GIO. Though I am a drummer, so the guitar is just for fooking around for fun at home.

I've been doing a lot of guitar searching and I have come to realise that this is my DREAM acoustic guitar....

IPB Image

The Taylor 812ce! Thousands of pounds, but one day...it shall be mine...

Look at it, it's just STUNNING! And the sound quality is tremendous, go check out Myles Kennedy playing Hallelujah and you'll see. It's beautiful.

Welp, I just bought a Yamaha APX-500 and a bunch of new accessories (lead, strap, guitar case etc). I don't like the spend really, but I played the guitar in the shop and the sound is brilliant, so I know it's worth it.
