Well... I do have all the other ones... even RS... I think I would buy it before I even knew I was doing it without looking at the price. Live is that good.

i would just buy it to make the collection complete
that's why I also would be very disapointed if Live would ever release an album only digital (and you have to make your own copy eh.gif )

As much as I love the instantaneous access of music via the new digital era we're now in, thanks to iTunes, Amazon Unbox and others, I can't STAND it. I want the physical CD, the (sometimes) pretty artwork and liner notes. I want the full meal deal. I don't want to take a compressed MP3, transcode it to a WAV and burn it to a TDK/Sony/Verbatim/Memorex CD-R and scribble the song or album name on it and throw it in a generic slim CD case. I want the works and I'm willing to pay for it.

Now, if Live released FLAC versions of all the songs, plus a PDF of the liner notes and an exact replica of the CD label that I could print out and use, I might change my tune, but knowing how I am, I'd probably still go for the real deal. Besides... I don't even have a printer good enough to print the stuff as good as what we get from the store.

I'll buy that album from a store and be 100% happy with it. smile.gif

I'd probably get a digital version to have the music as quickly as possible, and then get myself a physical copy later.

I would buy the physical album, even if it were a little more. To me there's something about actually having it (unless it's a band I don't really care about). My kids will probably laugh at that concept someday.

Plus, I would worry about the possibility of losing my download somehow.

I would have to have a physical copy, I am a liner notes junkie and would just have to have one to complete the set. I'd still get the download version so I could hear it as soon as possible. That's what I did with "Radiant Sea" I just couldn't wait to get the physical one. I burned it and keep that copy in the car.

ever since TDTH when i discovered live it has been a ritual to shut myself off from the world and sit down in my room late at night with the brand new disc, a good bottle of red or a fine single malt, and a cuban cigar and discover the music in style. I love the smell of the new booklet and the freshness of the lyrics that line it, and whatever crazy pictures the guys have decided to illustrate it with. Its an experience, one that I reserve only for live.

I think my cigar was a dominican or something when i listened to SFBM though, it ruined the whole experience!

Nah, It was just the music tongue.gif

Cool tradition though. I did that with DOAD, TDTH, SS, and V. That's it... well... no cigar.

If the digital download came first (like 'Radiohead's - in rainbows', which I must say is the best album I have heard in years) I would purchase it first, probably for about $15, then get the hard copy later on when its released in stores.

Agree on that, you might just lose it or maybe ur pc crashes...
Anyways a hard copy is way better, a real cd with nice image, and some nice notes to sing along rockin.gif

I just don't get why anyone would pay for the same music twice! shrug.gif

To support Live so they can make even more records or because they want to hear it so badly that they dont want to waste any time to buy a hard copy.
