We’ve got lots of big news fans and friends… A NEW ALBUM!! Yes, you read correctly…a new LIVE ALBUM!!!

The album, which is titled “Radiant Sea: A Collection of Bootleg Rarities and Two New Songs,” is the band’s second self-released album on their Action Front Records label (the first was Death of a Dictionary as Public Affection). This album includes 10 live bootleg tracks along with 2 new, exclusive songs. The live tracks consist of many favorites including:

Nobody Knows
Sweet Release
Overcome

The two new songs are:

Beautiful Invisible
Radiant Sea

Yup! I just got the e-mail and ordered a renewal membership and the CD. I made a mistake when I ordered and ordered both at the same time, rather than renew, then login to Homespun and order the CD from there, so Live got an extra $10 from me, but I really think this idea is great, so I'm all for giving them a little extra. smile.gif

ALLRIGHT, PEOPLES! Yous that will be seeing the band this weekend and getting the CD right now MUST post thoughts about the 2 new songs. I'm curious as to how they do (or do not) rock. smile.gif

I don't like being negative generally, but what's the point of this album?

Consider it this way: If you're a member of Homespun, you'll get a CD with live versions of some cool songs, plus you get two new Live songs. We've all been wondering about what's next for Live anyway... this is the perfect way to find out. You get 2 new Live songs for $6, plus the bootleg live tracks. That's not a bad deal at all. Plus, since you're a member of Homespun, you get all the regular Homespun stuff, as well as the Holiday CD.

It's a step in the right direction as far as I'm concerned. My only worry is the quality of the new songs. If they rock, then that's $15 (or just shipping if you were already a Homespun member) well spent. If they suck, well... yeah.

I'm hoping for the former. Maybe this is a sneak peek at the next album. Who knows.

Pretty disappointing, but at least we get two new songs. Those are in studio quality, so this is most likely very recent work. Someone who is going to the show tonight better rip this cd and have mp3s up by early morning, or I'll ban all of you since I'm the site's new owner.

The tracklist is disappointing, I thought there would be more "rarities". I'm still thankful to the band for releasing this though, this is something they didn't have to do and everyone should be grateful. thumbsup.gif

It says you can download the song through the "DIGITAL DOWNLOAD" section in the shop but I don't see it. Does anyone else it?

I think this album makes perfect sense for the band. It cost them virtually nothing to produce and whatever money they make off of sales will be all profit. It also gives homespun members a very cool gift. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow night, I hope they play the new songs live!

Depends on where you live. I live in AZ and it was $4.60.
