Live & Collective Soul will be performing at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 20th. The concert will take place at Mandalay Beach and is an 18 & older event. Gates open at 8 pm, with the concert to get underway at 9 pm. General admission tickets cost $61.50 and go on-sale Friday (September 14th) at 12 pm PT via Ticketmaster.

Is the Mandalay Beach a venue where the stage is surrounded by water so that fans can't get near? Anyone ever see a concert there? Looks like a crappy set-up to me.

from the looks of it, I am not too sure the price of the ticket is worth being so far from the stage.

I know, $61.50??? It's more than the price for the triple play tickets and this is without service, delivery fees, etc. The hotel looks cool though. Not cool if you can't get up by the stage. The simple way to solve this is calling the venue and asking.

Damn! I was hoping (earlier this year) the guys would be playing Vegas! I SO wanted to go plus see my friends out there! But now that I've seen them in Indy - and Clearwater in a few weeks - the funds just aren't there to take a quick w/e trip Vegas (and yeah, the tickets are pretty hefty)!

I'm seriously debating this show. Its likely their last performance of 2007 and a weekend in Vegas would be fun.
