ahh i really enjoyed watching this! didn't know this one.
the logo right above also reminds me of how much TMF used to play +live+ ...and now...sad.gif
but cool anyway, a lot of footage i never saw before
for example: what performance is the one in which you see Ed with the hat?

tnx for posting thumbsup.gif

Thank you for posting...very sweet!

Does LIVE still draw big crowds in Europe or has that faded away? I love seeing the huge crowds!

Thought - why is it I watch this clip and see the excitement and enthusiasm of the crowd(s), which clearly outnumber the Triple Play crowds. But yet today, the guys are cancelling shows because of poor tickets. Why? Granted, the Triple Play shows include other bands but wasn't the Cleveland LIVE only?

I know this clip only includes their first 4 albums but they're still performing songs from those albums ... why aren't people buying tickets? Is it because of their newer "sound", price of tickets, both? The guys clearly have as much energy today as they did back then ... is it the fans that changed? I've seen the discussions about how the newer albums aren't as popular ... I don't know ...

Just sucks to see them not-so-long ago and then see them over the weekend and see how fans / crowds have changed ... is it just The States?

honestly, i think the long term fans from MJ or TC... are dissappointed in the new "sound"... or the fact that the angst has left them... their "rawness" isn't there anymore... but, how could it be? ed's voice isn't that of the 90's.. and he makes all the songs sound..."happy".... live was my band for the longest time, and i only saw them in concert once in '97 and in sept. they're gonna be right down the road from me in greenville, SC (1st time ever)... and i won't be there.. probably... i just don't want to be dissappointed.

if anyone is looking for that rawness in a great band.... i suggest you check out Rocco Deluca and the Burden. i saw them last night in a small venue... and all i can say is WOW!!!!!

I don't know about rest of Europe, but in Norway on their last tour they sold out a club that takes 1300 people. They had to have a xtra concert, so I gues they could have played in a club that could hold ca 3000.

Wambangalang,

i had a serious problem with LIVE when they were my fav. band... they are no longer that. honestly, i don't think LIVE is as bad as i thought they were... but i guess i just got tired of hearing about ed's beliefs, spirituality..... in every song. there was the occasional tangent such as, Sh!t towne, and.............. sorry, .... i'm drawing a blank. you get my point. i think it's great that LIVE wants to send out a positive message and all, but....... it's just that i am a Christian, and with LIVE singing about spirituality all the time and ed clearly stating that they are not a Christian rock band (not that i thought they were)... makes it hard for me to enjoy.

as far as the vow never to listen to them again.... i don't listen to them anymore, at least not compared to how i use to listen to them.... EVERY SINGLE DAY.... i can listen to them in moderation.... once in blue moon, really,... cause they don't get a lot of play in the south east of the U. S.

but, hey... if you like 'em.... rock on.... i'll be the first to admit their music is great... i'll always think that, but for me, the music only carried me so far.... i got off that bus a while back, and in doing so i've found that there is a lot more music out there that is evenly, if not more, enjoyable
