First of all, I would like to thank the new owners of this site for keeping it up and running thumbsup.gif .

The question I have is about the MP3 section. I brought this up a few months ago. I've found it to be my favorite part of this site in the past because it has always offered high quality versions of Live material while other sites and places typically offer low grade recordings.

When the site was run by the previous owner and you went to the MP3 section there was a choice to look at Featured Songs and The Featured Concert. When you went to Featured Songs there were always about 10 to 12 single songs (alternate versions, unreleased songs, live versions, ect...) such as Cheetah, versions of Vine Street, a live version of The Distance and others.

The Featured Concert link usually had a full, high quality, concert that you could download. The last concert offered before the change over was June 24th in Tuttlingen, Germany, and was actually a version of the current set list. It was great quality. These were usually changed or added to each month or every other month.

I was wondering if the new owners obtained this library of material and if they could return the MP3 section back to it's original form. I know it was updated May 24th with some acoustic downloads (by the way the Intro is not with The Distance as indicated) but it is a far cry from what it used to be.

Hopefully this is possible.

Regardless, thanks for keeping everything going!

Here is another idea of stuff to add if you have the material. It links to another spot on the message board:

Live Singles

Who is going to pay for it?

I don't think Dan was getting enough in donations to support the space.

Nobody needs to pay for it.

Stick the files up at those free hosting sites. Sure, some of them are a pain to use but there are some good ones out there that have unlimited downloads and keep them online for a long period of time.

http://www.savefile.com - 60 meg file limit per file - files with no downloads for 30 days will be deleted.

I do have some songs, but have no idea how to post anything. I can talk to Dan/Greg and see what we can work out.

An update to the MP3 section with new stuff!

A good quality SS era concert would be nice!

Check out some of the 2003 shows over at Bootlegheaven.com

I've just downloaded the following versions of I Alone and they both have the "Like a Stone" tag.
[mp3 section]
2003-08-30, Lowlands Festival
2003-09-04, Gypsy Tea Rooms

In 2003 Live also used "Evolution Revolution Love" as a tag as well...
