Excerpt from interview with Collective Soul band member:

Turpin: Starting in July through September, we’ll be pretty rigorous, four to five nights a week touring with Counting Crows and Live, a multi-band evening. We’ve got two more days in studio, and by the end will have 11 songs, with a new Collective Soul record slated for release in early August.

I should have been more specific, I saw Live and Counting Crows together twice when they toured. I'm not a huge Crows fan, but Live and Collective Soul are my two favorites. smile.gif I can't wait!!

I'm praying for a date around my birthday in August!! happy.gif

I didn't have a chance to see the CC and +Live+ tour in the past, who was the headliner.

I love both bands, but I love +Live+ considerably more, and I definitely want them to be the "Main" attraction and want them to do a full approx. 20 song set.

Either way, I'm sure it will be great!!

banana.gif COOL! I saw Live and Counting Crows back in I think like 2000, at PNC. Hopefully they will play there this summer or fall. My memories of when Live played with Counting Crows back in 2000 are very cloudy, or maybe that was because I had too much Bacardi that night, my friend said it was a good concert and that I had fun!!! hehe.gif

I think at most shows Counting Crows were the headliners. The one they did in Hershey PA Live was the headliner. I would hope they would switch it up a lot more than they seemed to last time because Live is a much better closing act than the Counting Crows.

I heard that there could be a few shows that will be just Live and Collective Soul. I'm hoping if Live does play Conn. on June 10th, we could get a preview of the tour with just those two bands. I'm very excited to hear the dates announced. I'm hoping we can post a few by the end of the week.

The way i understood it was that Live would close the majority of the shows, except for, like, Atlanta where CS is from then they would close. But obviously that was before Counting Crows were added so now, who the hell knows.

Bah I was all excited till they added the crows bit. I'm not a huge fan of them.

I'm sure I'll hit at least a few shows on this tour.

My thoughts exactly Beth. I was excited about Live and Collective Soul. I'm hoping to hit a few shows too...maybe even a road trip. smile.gif
