I heard that Live made a full band version of "Overcome" for "The Distance To Here", but that it didn't make it to the album. Is there anybody, that has that version of "Overcome" and could send it to me?

i don't think it was ever made available to anybody ever. at this point, i doubt even chad, chad, and pat have a copy. i think ed has it locked away in his vault at black mountain.

that said, if somebody does have it, send it my way too godammit

I do believe there's a live fullband recording flowding around somewhere. I used to have it.

I think it was during their SS tour. They played it once Look at bootlegheaven.com maybe they have it. It was in 1998, a very poor quality version. I didn't mind if we get only the piano version. I think it's better than a good full band version. That songs needed to be a ballad the way it was on V. lol.gif

Good luck
Alex

I thought I had a full band version of Overcome in live version, somewhere in 1998, but I think you mean a studio full band version=

i was thinking the same thing... i mean, anyone who wants a shotty recording can go to bootleg heaven and look for their chameleon club show from 1998 (i think at least one of those is on the site)

but yeah... when i said earlier it was nowhere to be found, i was refering to the studio version... man, would i love to get my hands on that... along with studio change... and studio lift me up... and well... everything else.

chad gracey told me EVERYTHING would come out eventually back in 1998. thus far, his pants are still on fire.

Well, i looked for a studio version, but i'll look at bootlegheaven for a live version. It's better than not hearing the version at all...

There are no studio versions of the full-band version available (atleast not yet), so the live versions will have to do for now. Wish they were better quality though.
