There is a Homespun pre-sale on these tickets until Friday I believe.

Thanks for the info Laurie, any homespun member should run over and pick up tickets before ticketmaster adds their "convenience" charge! Has anyone ever been to this venue? Can you see the stage? How is the area of town?

Thanks in advance!

Its is kind of my job now, I suppose. It depends on the venue and the hotels in the surrounding area. How about you?

I'm hearing the venue is a dump, and it is very hard to view the stage from the floor. Has anyone been there?

You'll definitely be able to see the stage at the Riv. It's an old Chicago theater, and is dated, but Live has rocked it before. You can even see easy from the balcony where there are chairs...but I'm sure you'll all want to be down on the floor grooving to the boys!

I'll be there!!

this is where I met all four of them for the first time.

The Riv is not a dump and the sightlines are fine.

Stay downtown, enjoy the city, and from downtown take the northbound red line to LAWRENCE, which is a block from the Riviera.

Sox,
How do you rate the sightlines at the Riviera?

I've never been inside the Riviera.. I've walked past it many times but never actually been inside.
Haven't heard too many negative things about the place, most people like it.
Here's a pic I found on flickr of the Riv, so you might get an idea of what it's like:
