I applaud her bravery for standing up for herself in what is a very divided situation and a very personal one, too.

As a parent, my hope is I can raise my girls to form their own opinions of others, not on appearances but on the quality of character. That being said, I would not take issue if my children were in this teacher's class. To me, it is within the same arguement of a homosexual teacher vs. a straight teacher. What happens in the privacy of our homes needs to be left there. Our biases 'checked at the door' and allow others to try to live in peace.

as in all, this is just my humble opinion...right, wrong or just plain bullshit.

I guess as long as she sn't teaching kids that are too young .. she's kinda scary looking. Kinda of like a David Walliams character from Little Britain.

Anyone wo would have a problem with that has a problem themselves. I would love to see more teachers like that come out...but with all the hate in this world, they tend to stay hidden and not reveal themselves.

Ha, she kinda does look a bit like one of Davids little britain characters. I wouldn't have a problem with it.

My friend's son goes to the school where this person teaches. My friend is okay with the women being there, so I guess it isn't that big of a deal to parents/students.

Shouldn't matter I think...it's the quality of the teacher that counts right? I mean there are some extremely nasty teachers out there that are straight or 'normal' or whatever...
