when i saw chad G at their last concert ever in westbury, i said something along the lines of "dont break up" and he said "tell ed that"..maybe it was ed's decision, dont know why he would say that otherwise

I believe that was prior to all the shady business dealings being discovered, so Ed may have enacted the hiatus but not the full-on break up.

I actually think Ed explained the lead singer bonus thing well. He had studio time booked and asked for money more than cover the losses he would take. I could definitely see Pat and the Chad's bitching about Ed going solo. I am sure all parties are responsible for the break-up.

Chad Taylor is the one who has come off as the only tool today having to post a new blog rescinding what he had earlier said. How can you take anything Chad says remotely seriously anymore?

Come on, Ed. If you only let Chad, Chad and Patrick participate only 10% in your songwriting, they would have givebn you OCEANS of creativity (to say it in Ed's water-terms). But no, Ed chooses to work with a few unknown musicians, to get the 'spark' back. He just implies that the new drummer have him so much more inspiration than Gracey! I just can't believe this whole thing.

They wanted to go in different directions creatively. It is hard to work with individuals to create music if you aren't on the same page.

No he didn't. He backpedaled, side stepped, and at one point pretty much asked the interviewer to stop the questioning. He completely bitched out. He never once gave an honest answer. He tried to justify his lies and deceit, and didn't even do a plausible job either.

Chad didn't contradict a damn thing, he said he was sorry for making it public. You know what though, the majority of the fan base is happy that he made it public. We wanted answers, and we needed to know exactly what happened to our favorite band. Should I ever run into Chad again, I'll tell him that I understand his thoughts, but that I'm thankful that he aired his grievances, because it also helped me in healing as a fan and restoring a great deal of my faith in the past history of the band.

Chad did not contradict anything. He just regretted making it public but he never came out and said oh I was wrong about Ed and it was all a misunderstanding. My mother is a lawyer and I can tell you absolutely that the statement made my Chad is coming at his law team's request. It would seem a settlement has been made. The same is true from Ed. He is doing as his law team tells him which is why he will not comment further on the happenings. This is one thing Ed did right. About the only thing it seems to me.
