So I did a little more research and found that there are a whole bunch of unreleased/unknown songs registered with BMI which handles publishing rights. Check out the list of songs below:

All Is Crazy on the Action Front
Change
Cheetah
Heard A Lot of Talk
Hold Me Up
New City
Proverbs of the Company
Ride
Still Aroused
Susquehanna
Throwing Copper (song) omg.gif
Untitled
Walk Into This Room

A lot of these songs I already knew existed but there are some new titles there unless someone can enlighten me. All of the above were credited to all four in the band but there was also one song credited solely to Ed as the songwriter: Keenan Say Yes. Anyways here's the link:

First of all: thannks for sharing this with us thumbsup.gif

But can the unknown titles not be something that has not really something to do with Live? For example, Evolution Revolution Love is also listed. It would be really cool if they placed the year at when a song was credited.

But still, really interesting!

Holy cow, you've done your research! Thanks for the source too... As soon as I saw "Heard alot of talk" I thought "Operation Spirit" but that can't be true no.gif

Keenan Say Yes is the one that excites me the most. There is no way that is anything we have heard before.

I looked, Beautiful Invisible and Radiant Sea are both on there! This is so exciting! yahoo.gif

but are both credited to only Ed eh.gif and so are all SFBM songs (such a surprise lol.gif ), and a few others. Most of the songs, as the original poster said, are credited to them all.
So I guess Wash the Blood Away 'doesn't exist.

Playing by heart: so I guess Ed wrote 2 songs for the movie, cool. Sun is the only song that is listed twice: also the loop version is listed. But why is there no difference made between the 2 Overcome version than?

whatever. for all the other unknown songs: new album tracks ?? eyebrow.gif

I was wondering about Fly, on the BMI list. It lists its songwriter/composer credit to Daughtry and Ed, but I have not heard anything about it.

Nice job on the research! I'd be really interested in hearing:

All Is Crazy on the Action Front
Fly
Heard A Lot of Talk
Keenan Says Yes
New City
Playing By Heart
Proverbs of the Company
Rivertown
Untitled (which isn't Horse because it is listed)

Yeah I really wish they gave the year it was registered. That would give a feeling of when it was recorded. I was most shocked that it looks like there is a song titled Throwing Copper out there. A lot of bands have registered songs that they haven't released but I was shocked at the number Live seems to have. Normally these are songs that were actually considered for inclusion on an album thus they usually have a mixed if not mastered cut laying around. But it does not necessarily mean that the songs don't exist in a studio form if they are not registered. I believe it to mean that they just never considered songs like Wash Away the Blood, Mallrat, Photograph, Pop Vortex and others for their respective albums

I have it already thanks Ed unless you have a fully mastered version. It just gives me hope that there is a fully mastered version out there. The quality of the demo version kinda bugs me.

I think we can work out what era the songs are from by comparing their BMI work numbers. See, here are the numbers for some Throwing Copper tracks:

41. HORSE 1907472
42. I ALONE 1907871
69. PILLAR OF DAVIDSON 1907672
45. IRIS 1907877

Notice their numbers are all so close? It's the same with songs from other albums...

98. TIRED OF ME 1520207
95. TAKE MY ANTHEM 1451067

28. FREAKS 3974606
29. GAS HEAD GOES WEST 3974608
38. HEROPSYCHODREAMER 3974613

54. MELTDOWN 4965896
78. RUN TO THE WATER 4965882
86. SPARKLE 4965881

21. EVERYTIME I SEE YOUR FACE 6796565
76. RIVERTOWN 6796562
77. RUN AWAY 6777728

84. SIMPLE CREED 5824466
100. TRANSMIT YOURE LOVE 5798502
10. CALL ME A FOOL 5798485

2. ALL I NEED 7734890
40. HOME 7734889
30. GET READY 7734883

Now, I may be wrong to think this, but by looking at the BMI number for one of these "unkown" songs, we may be able to take a guess at which era it is from. This is my thinking anyway. So let's take a look...

ALL IS CRAZY ON THE ACTION FRONT - 6198123 - Following my rule, this would suggest that this tracks was either a late contender for V, or material dabbled with in the lead up to Birds of Pray.

FLY - 8706593 - This number is later than the SFBM tracks which makes sense as it is co-written by Daughtry.

HEARD A LOT OF TALK - 2941292 - This is between TC and SS, which maybe makes sense from the title? They recieved a lot of attention for TC, aka "heard a lot of talk". Still quite early for SS, so maybe it was discarded in place of newer material.

KEENAN SAYS YES - 7461651 - This number suggests early SFBM material. The song is written solely by Eddie K, which again makes sense as we know it was largely his album. The system seems to be working.

PLAYING BY HEART - 7461654 - Early SFBM again.

PROVERBS OF THE COMPANY - 6198122 - Late V / Early BoP

ST PEACE IS NOW - 6198124 - Late V / Early BoP

THROWING COPPER - 3524165 - Early SS material. It makes sense for it not to be from the TC era, because that would crap on their story of how they named the album (the one they self explain in the Past, Present, Future video).

UNTITLED - 6198134 - Late V / Early BoP

Now what is interesting is these two...

72. RADIANT SEA 9169697
5. BEAUTIFUL INVISIBLE 9170051

Supposedly from the V era, but those numbers are the most recent thing in that entire list. So, does that crap on my theory and it's not just when they were written or something. Or were they maybe written lyrically and musically during V era but only registered later when they wanted two decent tracks to release alongside some concert stuff (the Radiant Sea album).

Regardless of those two mysteries, due to other outtakes having similar numbers to their albums (Hold Me Up is a TC number, New City is a TDTH numbe etc, however some such as Cheetah and Born Branded are in the 60s - the plot thickens!), I think that even though there is no registration date, we can somewhat safely assume that these brand new tracks came from the eras discussed above which are, in summary:

SS:

Heard a Lot of Talk

V/BoP:

All is Crazy on the Action Front
Proverbs of the Company
St Peace is Now
Untitled

SFBM:

Kenan Says Yes
Playing by Heart

--------------

That's my theory, and I think it's pretty good, although not totally solid due to stuff like Cheetah and Born Branded being MUCH MUCH later than the rest of their ilk. I don't know.

well you're very smart to compare the numbers cool.gif

great post! thumbsup.gif

Two things I like to add: when I first saw the title Playing by heart I was immediately thinking about a second song for the movie Playing By Heart, but if that was the case, it should have been (pre)TDTH. According to the number, it isn't. St Peace is Now I considered as an error, being just Peace is Now, but that doesn't fit the number of MJ-songs at all.

About the rest: I think you're right about most of the songs. BI and RS surprised me, but it makes sense in the way that no one ever heard of those, and maybe the band just kept them secret, and credited them just before releasing Radiant Sea album. (so can be the case with many other, not listed songs on that page)

The thing about Fly is really cool: the number must be the proof this will be a future, upcoming song/duet that will appear on Live's or Daugtry's next album!!
