I've seen LIVE perform 27 times with Ed, one with Shinn. I've seen Ed perform 4 times solo.
I feel like I'm qualified - as someone who waits outside from noon onward to be on the front row - to discuss stage presence.

They have different stage presences. Ed took off his shirt a lot more. In the last 7 or 8 years, smiled a lot more. They both are remarkable performers with excellent stage presence. Of course, this is a matter of opinion, and like a vanilla/chocolate argument, there is no right/wrong.

I think Chris's stage presence is awesome. I felt his energy and enthusiasm gelled perfectly with the rest of the band, as did Sean's.

But I also prefer vanilla bean. If you like chocolate, that's cool. Enjoy. but don't say vanilla is sub-par because it's not what you like.

I agree 1 million percent!! (I mean, the lyrics are infantile, but it sounds awesome)

Nick will always call a new poster an "alias" because he doesn't want to believe that the people that pop up here and there in support of Live are new or lurking fans.

If someone new showed up and bashed TGF and CCP then Nick would think they were a new member of the board and welcome them with open arms.

I joined these boards after my facebook post was copied to these forums.

The Live facebook page was going haywire because 2 Live Crew fans were posting all over it. Live said something along the lines of "This isn't your band go post elsewhere" and Live fans thought they were talking to them regarding Live/TGF and the shit hit the fan. I made a hasty post about Live and some backstage passes that I could no longer use. I then thought to come here to see if there were any threads about what was going on only to see my post copied.


Later I found that you could see certain things on an iPhone that people could not see on the regular facebook website. So I joined to help clarify what I had seen:

Honestly, you spend more time trying to find things to make TGF/CCP/Shinn look bad than you do trying to find things that would make Ed look good.

As much as you follow him and his career surely there is something new that he has done that might make people not look at him in such a horrible light?

Or maybe there isn't much out there that you can use to make Ed look good? And instead of facing that fact you spend all your time trying to paint CCP/TGF/Shinn as failures/bad people?

Because that is getting old.
