Did anybody else here go to the special Strand show they played a number of years ago? That was pretty cool.

I was there and actually thought it was disappointing, given that we had paid so much for tickets and it was a big anniversary show.

Agreed. I left there thinking that was one of their worst shows I have ever seen. Not sure if I was just too hyped or what? The show was very short too from what I remember...

No pressure this time guys.

It was billed as this big anniversary show, with special guests, and big surprises. Plus I remember the tickets being something like $100 a piece. It was a standard show, their music teacher came on to play violin on a song, and then their mothers were brought on stage. It was cool to honor those people, but those weren't exactly big surprises.

I saw them a few months later at the York Fair, tickets were only $25, and it was a much better show.

The York Fair show was a nice surprise for me. It almost felt like they knew they had to make up for the show at the Strand. Only time I remember them opening a show with Pain Lies on the Riverside.

I honestly can't remember being this excited about something Live related since .. gah, I don't know, just prior to BOP's release, when I was full of hope that after V it was going to be a real return to form (history shows differently), but that's the last time I really was hanging out this much for something Live related.

I love that there are no restrictions, its 4 guys that have been in lockdown for months and months getting things together just the way they want them and as the Joker says, here.we.go!

edit: god not to mention you guys are also getting Adam Taylor as the support act!!

edit 2: and KATIE might be there too! *swoons*

who said 4?

Someone needs to play the miscellaneous instruments. Tambourine, cowbell, maracas.

Well, I was going on the basis of the core of the band only, C,C,C&P. Is there more than just 1 new members?

Or are Live now a 12 piece big brass band? hehe.gif

This keeps getting better and better everyday. If there is indeed another member I'm hoping it's someone that has played in the past with Live and also has local ties to York.

With Pat soon departing on his "Bass Alone Tour", the likely 5th member would be a 2nd bass player who can fill in while Pat is away.
