So after getting completely rocked the fuck out last week at the chameleon the wife and I decided to take a journey across the state last night to see TGF again. And yet again quite an amazing show. There were 2 other local opening bands even before Danielle Barbe went on. TGF went on roughly around 10:40. The place was a smaller venue, use to be a Catholic Church, but they had them packed in there pretty good. My estimate would be about 3 to maybe 400 people.

There wasn't much change in setlist besides there not being the front porch session last night. Which I would've loved to seen again, but it definitely didn't take away from the show one bit. KM seems to have a lot of Pittsburgh connections. He obviously knows Danielle well enough for them to ask her to join them. And he also dedicated "Crying Time" to the lead singer of one of the other bands. Apparently this band was supposed to open up for candlebox in August and couldn't because of the passing of the singers father. Very cool gesture by KM.

Highlights of the night had to be KM asking God to please give us some light on our drummer since it was awfully dark on CG at first. Then KM decided to walk across the bar. And Memphis was at it again, climbing up the speaker tower which was a good 10-12 feet up. I got some good pictures of it.

Before the show we talked to Memphis for quite awhile about the album, the tour, the upcoming night. Bought him his drink of choice which he chose Vodka and Ginger Ale. This being one of the many drinks for the entire band the rest of the night haha. Which I believed fueled Kevin's fire for towards the end of the show, going all pissed off about government, politics, and tour promoters. Then he summed it up by saying, (I paraphrase) "I hope I didn't offended anyone too much, I really just don't know what the fuck I'm talking about"

We again met the guys after the show, they all for the most part remembered us from the chameleon show. We actually tweeted our road trip out there by taking pictures along the way. And when we were talking to Gracey I mentioned who I was and he was like oh yeah I was watching you guys get here on twitter. Maybe BS? Nope he actually brought up the picture of the Cinnabon's we had at the one rest area. Totally made my night. We talked to him for a good 5 minutes just a super cool guy yet again. We did pictures and chatted some more with the rest of the guys before heading out around 12 45 am to make the 4 hour journey home.

Just once again its been said a lot on this board. You MUST see this band live. Throw out any homerism you might have for these guys previously. That won't matter, because you don't have to be a huge Live or Candlebox fan. TGF is an entirely different entity and they will rock your mother fuckin' face.

I'm really not one to post reviews, but just wanted to say that this show absolutely blew my mind. They played with such passion and energy. Seriously, one of the best shows I have ever seen. I thought the crowd was great - it was cool to see so many people singing along. I got to meet them after the show - and they were truly "gracious" and just plain nice guys. I had them sign my lanyard and also my CD cover. Just an amazing experience.

I'm not really sure. I wish I would've thought to ask him. But I'm guessing since Hennessy is so close to Tennessee it probably came out of just some goofing around by band mates. Memphis, Hennessy. I could be totally wrong, but seems like it makes sense.

One word - amazing. I'll admit I had high expectations going in - mainly because of all the pics and videos posted on this board! TGF lived up to those expectations 10 fold.

I'll try to post them.
