Its only 19 years since Wyman left.....cant believe its been that long. Wood has been there since 1975 (37 years), those are the major moves.

Not sure why you're coming unglued over this. Live is moving on for the betterment of their music!!

Mick Taylor is a major move and not coming unglued just disagreeing that it's the original members. Accept it's not the original members and move on. And live aren't moving on for the betterment of music, Ed won't return their calls. That's what Chad g told us. Let's not rewrite stones and live history today

Your proving my point. The 26 people on this site are die hard fans hanging on the words of Chad and the anti Ed shit from years ago. The average Joe is going to be pissed when they show up to see live play songs off tc and it's some new guy. So no, not a valid study of the 26 people on this site. My friends who like them will not go c the new band unless this cd is a monster

When I go to see a band that I pay money for I make sure I know what I'm seeing. (from a band I hardly know to bands I forgot about...) BUT with the internet, and wiki and google and boogle and "fuckyougottabefuckingretardednottoknow.com" I can't believe that not one fuck spent that minute (where as technology shows each fuck spends most their life E-something or othering) they did not doogle google who/what/when/where is playing. It takes literally seconds. (though this average Joe might need a few minutes ... but I digress)

And as Live was more a thinking mans rock band I can't see this average Joe being pissed about anything other than the fact that he pissed himself and was at the wrong show.
I don't think there are many average Joe's out there like that listening to Live and not knowing about what has happened in the last few years.

Doubtful this average Joe fan you describe will even know they are back together let alone who the singer is. The ones that have stayed in touch enough to know that Live is back will know there is a new singer. Plus, we have yet to see or hear how they are going to promote. I doubt they are going to try to pull the wool over anyones eyes. I'm sure they'll be very up front about it when the time is right. Like I said, they have 50,000 or so fans on Facebook and the response to them moving forward has been very positive. There are skeptics but even they are open to checking it out. Only a few say no Ed no Live.

I agree with you on alot of those points. I really think Ed and live are dead if they are not together but I love Chad and would never put that on facebook. So who knows what the consesnsu is Dont think facebook is a good indicator Album sales And ticketsalez will show. Interested in seeing what will happen. Don't think they will try to pull the wool over anyones eyes

I think there are very few fans left that have such strong opinions about who the singer is. Even to those that are still in touch with the band, I think their grip on Live as their favorite band has loosened very much over the past ten years to where they just don't care as long as it rocks.

Exactly! You research the band, if you don't then it's not the bands fault you didn't know what you were getting. And why should the casual fan always be catered for and bent over backwards for? Like setlists catered toward them. Reward the more hardcore fan, the reward for having your finger on the pulse and looking into the band that your seeing is avoiding disappointment at not getting what you expected.

Not saying it's the bands fault just think the average casual fan is not going to be interested in a new singer and I understand why the 30 people on this site don't agree. This has nothing to do with tricking the public. That argument is occurring in the Ed section where he is billing himself on alive as former singer. I thought we were talking about the poll and how its no a valid representation of public opinion

There is one particular member here who thinks Live is trying to trick the public

This poll could be more accurate if we knew who was voting. Eg are there people voting who don't talk much on here/are one of the regular talkers. That would probably give us a larger number of the "casual fans" voting.

Before this goes any further: briburge and SJN1279 are not the same person. End of story.

The new version of Live that you have barely really heard and aren't even willing to give a chance.
But once again, if you think the Ed of SFBM is that great, and you have no interest in the new version of Live, then Ed has a wonderful solo career you could follow and enjoy and stop wasting your time with something you apparently have no love for. I swear some of you people are into self-abuse it seems, how does that work now, should I start watching some movies that I can't stand?
It's fine that you think what you think, I just can't understand why you keep hanging around for more punishment of something you clearly don't like or agree with when you have another alternative.

Who are these casual fans you keep referring to? If they aren't on here or Facebook, where are they? Most likely they have fallen off the radar and have done so because their interest level is pretty low. I can't see someone with low interest in Live getting worked up about who the singer is. Like I said, they probably couldn't even identify him. I doubt they care or could tell if they heard something akin to the All Over You version we heard by the new singer. We have yet to hear any new music too. Maybe it will be closer to classic Live than SFBM. Any opinion about it right now is simply speculation. If it does rock like classic Live, then the most causal of Live fans will certainly be fine with it. Even some Ed fans probably would be fine with it but I doubt they'd ever admit it.
