I can already see myself buying the new album for all my friends, and as for weather or not they will be successfull commercially, there's a billion young kids out there who are waiting for a new band to get into, so you never know.

It sounded amazing. It's like the 20-something CCP from 1995 stepped out of the DeLorean, picked up their instruments, and rocked the shit out of their tune.

Most young kids aren't looking to get into a 20 year old band filled with middle aged men.

you were kicked out for being drunk. i'm guessing intoxication and any other sort of coercion is a good defense for anything to which you consented.

the song....yep....looking forward to new material

Maybe they're not looking to play to romper rooms.

Btw, if they're middle aged then Ed is sure as hell is too. But I guess that matters less in the world of Christian music... *coughcoughbullshitcough*

So, what do you care? I don't care who likes the Insane Clown Posse, I don't care who they are marketed towards, I don't care how many sales they make or how successful their tours are because I can't stand their music. Maybe you should try that, just not caring instead of obsessively holding a grudge.

I dunno, I think you can still go pretty wrong, sort of like with Selling the Drama - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7oEwbUlt7c

ICP - another group from the Detroit music scene.

BTW - interesting mention because ICP was big around here about 15-20 years ago. They're irrelevant here now, are they big in your area?

I was responding to a comment where someone said new LIVE could be big because kids are always looking for a band to follow.

Why are you responding to comments about a band you don't like? Once again, if I were to go onto a message board of a band I don't like and saw someone post about how amazing they were I could just as easily say I'm just responding to them thinking otherwise, but I don't because I don't waste my time on bands I don't like. You should probably do the same. For you it appears Live is over, they offer you nothing, take your leave and go enjoy Ed's music.

But as always it depends on the kid, my friend's little brother who is 15 heard TGF when I was playing it for my friend and now he's absolutely nuts for them, his thoughts on Ed's music? Something along the lines of "he sounds like an Idol reject catered for girls". So stop making your blanket statements, neither band is going to set the world on fire as far as "making it big" goes, those days are over, they were over before the first version of Live were over. So stop worrying about them and focus on the music that you like, and we can focus on the music we like.

Nah I just picked a name at random and for whatever reason they just came to my head as utter shit music. I don't think they were ever really "big" here, but their name probably still carries more weight than Live's does now (for better or worse). and Juggalo's are literally the worst people in the world.

It was a bit more crude than that, I just summed up what he actually meant. But its true, I don't think the general masses of the youth of today are going to be set afire by any of these bands.

But I'd see them gravitating towards Live/TGF more than Ed, they offer some musical substance that someone, albeit young, who is clued into music in more than just a casual basis can listen to and enjoy. Ed on the other hand offers no musical depth other than semi-catchy light on the surface tunes, and those people in the industry are a dime-a-dozen and nothing makes him stand out as something special to the casual masses of the youth of today.
