FYI, Adam Taylor has an open taping policy. This means that you can bring in personal recording gear and tape his shows.

Adam also is listed on the Live Music Archive (LMA) - which is a site where taper friendly bands recordings are able to be downloaded for free.

If you record Adam Taylor in the future, be sure to upload the recording here:

http://www.archive.org/details/AdamTaylor

Also, I would urge everybody to contact TGF, Live and Ed and try to get a formal response as to whether they support fans taping. Memories fade but recordings are a permanent document of what happened...

I encourage this. I'll even try and reach out to Chad to see if he'd formally permit the recording of future TGF and LIVE shows for you guys. There are sometimes some red tape, but I'm currently at a wonderful place in my career where I have no one to tell me my fans cannot share my music.

Best attitude to have, love it when artists think this way about sharing their music. One of my favorites has been Ween who ended up hosting their own torrent site for fans to upload their recorded shows to and share. Totally different to pirating an album, I can't see someone listening to a bootleg recording and going "well I've heard that, don't need to go see the live show now!" since going to a live gig is all about the experience which as nice as the recording is, it's apples and oranges.
