I don't care, I was responding to an above comment. What double standards are you talking about?

The fact you can so confidently say that money is the main or sole motivation for CCP bringing back Live, yet World Dreamer makes a post saying that surely you then must also view Ed considering going back to Live in the same way but oh no no, it's not about money for him. Ed can get along "just fine" without Live, but somehow CCP can't? I'll tell you that CCP are doing a lot better off financially than you are, you are in no position to judge their position.

Everyone, stop arguing and focus on the more pressing issue - helping me watch the video from 4:25 onwards.

So if Ed has done an about face turn from not wanting to work with "those individuals" again to "not closing the door", you gotta wonder if the fact that CT said they were still in a little contact if they are all trying to mend the bridges so to speak. Interesting. The other way to look at it would be that Ed isn't wanting to project a negative image by saying anything which could harm him, wanting to keep himself fresh in fans minds as Live is trying to get themselves off the ground again ... almost a counter-productive stance done in a positive way, a little undermining. But thinking that way makes me sound more like a theory Nick would come up with about CCP, so I'm just gonna hope they're at least just repairing friendships, but who knows his motivations.

I bet Kevin Martin is on foodstamps and that is why he had to go back to Candlebox. And Chris Cornell was living in a gutter and had to go back to Soundgarden.

I apologize. The sarcasm is just dripping today.

I got it to work, let it load completely before playing and then skip to 4:27 or so, mine was doing the same thing.

Absolutely Ed getting back with LIVE is about money to some extext. He stands to make more money fronting LIVE than he does with his solo career. However, while a LIVE reunion is possible for the future, at the moment Ed seems happy with his solo career. I don't see a LIVE reunion happening to 2013 at the earliest.

I am sure that CCP are financially better off than I am. However, their current touring revenue with TGF is very low and stands to increase with a reunited LIVE. I think that is a big reason for this new version of LIVE seeing the light of day.

God damn it why do you only look at the world through economic eyes?

It didn't work, it just loaded up to (I'm guessing) around 4:25 and then reloaded the page.

Ugh, I'm not bothering if the page just wants to mess about.

Whatever. I stopped at about the 1:00 min mark, right after he once again reminded everyone what he wrote on Throwing Copper. Look man, we get it, you're responsible for everything with Live, the other guys were just background. Funny how he is backtracking to say he'd now welcome a reunion (or whatever he said since I didn't listen). It's no coincidence that this comes on the heels of Live announcing they're moving on. Sorry man, you're power play won't work anymore. Make no mistakes, that's exactly what this is. I don't doubt he'd go back, but only on his terms, which pretty much means 100% his way. Sorry, the others are tired of that and since they own Live they don't have to succumb to his unyielding egotism. This has nothing to do with mending fences, it's about gaining leverage. Saying he'll welcome a reunion while the others are moving on with a new singer is his attempt to win favor with those that are shortsighted enough not to see the big picture. It's going to take a whole hell of a lot for the four of them to ever work together. Once EK can learn that however small he thinks C,C,P's contribution was to Live, it was just as important as his, then maybe he'll be on his way to reconciliation. Starting every interview reminding everyone how much Live was him is just more of the same ego driven BS.

Imagine Live got back together and Nick was banned from shows by both Ed and CCP for being Nick throughout this ordeal. Saying he stirred the pot too many times and is just creepy. I'd think he would hit the gym after school and dodge ball himself to a coma.

I think many of us would pay to see this. I wonder if Ed knows what Nick is doing to the Live fanbase?

Luke 15:11-32

The Parable of the Lost Son

Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.

“Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

“When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ So he got up and went to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

“The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate

“Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’

“The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.
But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’

“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

I am far from creepy, and you never met me to make that judgement. That is just immature of you to post(but should I be surprised at this point by the personal attacks that gets posted by certain members on this message board?).

My view isn't the popular opinion on this board. I understand and am totally cool with that. However, personal attacks won't make me change what I think. Especially foolish ones with no basis in fact.

Personally im not really one to want to waste time photoshopping you or making comments about your wife or whatever has gone on, but I'll still call you an idiot and being the son of a politician does explain a lot!
But again you say that things are said to you based on nothing, they're based on as much as you base your views on with regards to the motives of CCP and KM and all sorts. So the foolish attacks without basis or fact is exactly what you do, maybe not in a harsh vulgar manner (as swearing and such to you is very bad! ) but you're just as guilty as the next person.

As for what Ed would think of Nick is doing to the fanbase.. He probably wouldn't mind as both Ed and Nicks mind seem to work the exact same way - $$$

How about we discuss what Ed has said in this new interview and not our opinions on other FansOfLive members?
