I guess the band members are being up front with the fans here.

Wow - that sucks because I was thinking about seeing them here in about 3 weeks!

Plus, they're all related.

I just watched them on Storytellers and the lead singer may be the worst performer on the planet. He basically stands in one spot the entire set amd doesn't interact with the audience at all. Too bad because I would have considered seeing them otherwise.

Not that I like KOL, infact I really can't stand their music. I find it funny, that once again it's about "the performance". If you were considering going to see them you must at least like their music, but if standing in the one spot to sing is what is putting you off ... jesus christ. Ed's best days as a performer were behind his electric guitar belting out amazing notes, a show can still be great even if the front man doesn't walk back and forth across the stage with bent knees like Ed does.
So many people can be charasmatic without having to do much.
It's amazing the importance you place on certain things. If you think they still sound good then why not still go? (well ok, maybe not if they are going to be at each others throats now, assuming shows are even still going on. But relatively speaking.).

As for KOL, yeah this would make christmas dinners awkward ... although they got a long way to go before they reach Gallagher levels of awkward christmas dinners.

I like performers who engage and interact with the audience. The KOL frontman is far from charismatic onstage and isn't worth the 100 dollars for the 5 songs I like from the band.

Sorry, this is better than anything your mancrush has done in a long time.

Tickets to their upcoming Jones Beach show in NY are $25.00 to $66.00.

That sounds more in line with what I thought general prices were over there, maybe he's meaning multiple tickets including his wife.

Kings of Leon frustrated me because early on they sounded like they could have been a really cool southern sounding rock band. The song "Four Kicks" for example had a cool southern rock stomp sound to it .. but the singer is terrible, he sounds like a chicken. Then of course they just became bland when they released things like Sex is on Fire and Use Somebody and whilst it definitely made them more accessible, they lost what little they had to me.

But, perfect opportunity to post one of my favorite covers ever, Bamboos and Megan Washington doing their song 'King of the Rodeo' ... much love to it.

To bad Live never did a storytellers episode.

Do you even have 5 Live songs you like or are you more interested in their sales figures sheet?

I never really liked them. I do think it's funny when bands complain about the heat here in Texas. I mean (except for about seven years), I have lived here most of my life and nothing has changed. It's ALWAYS 300 billion degrees here. Poor planning on their part. A couple years ago at the ACL Music Fest, Passion Pit had a hard time performing ... in OCTOBER!
