Ed's response about the break-up in numerous interviews was that he wanted to try something new. He has never closed the door to a Live reunion, but he is exploring other projects.

20 years in the same band is a long-time. Especially when most bands don't even reach a quarter of that together. All four men seemed to be burnt out. The break-up was needed, regardless of other issues within.

Well Idunno, if they were all getting along really well then I don't see why a breakup would be needed.

A break up might not have been needed but the guys splitting off and trying new things probably was. Judging from the sound of both CDs the band had two completely different directions it wanted to go. It would have been nice if they could have just taken a respectful hiatus to explore new ventures but that's not how things shook out.

People asking for EdK to give some information is not crazy or stupid. He doesn't "owe" his fans anything per say, there was no transaction involved in either attending concerts or buying CDs that extended beyond hearing music and seeing a good show. However, many people are still curious as Live was their favorite band (shocking revelation, that). It's a reasonable reaction to want to know why things happened just as much as it is to not want to know why. Neither reaction is unmerited, different strokes for different folks and all that.

But he's not trying anything new, he's just doing the same shit as before with more extra added Jesus.

The other guys didn't want to go in the same direction as Ed and the strain was apparent on stage. Ed (and Adam) seem a lot happier since the split, and I'm sure the other 3 are better off as well.

He's still not "trying anything new" musically. He's just playing with guys that won't argue with everything he wants to do. All he's done is make it easier for himself to do what he's been doing the past few years. That's not a new direction.

If Ed is truly happy with the music he's written and recorded for "Alive", then I'm happy for him.

I've asked this before but I'll ask again: SJN, are you a paid promoter for Ed or a volunteer fan? Do you Admin his FB page only or do you have other jobs for Ed? I'm just trying to figure out who does what where.

Bremang we agree on something. Chelsea feel.free to tell the Ed lover, where she can go. She's not thinking about others thoughts on the subject, and what they mean in real terms. She,s clearly in the other camp.

Oh so now i am an ed lover because i said it's not any ones business what happened? In the other camp? Dude, you're CLEARLY an idiot.

Thanks very much. I'll wear the idiot badge well. Did it take you all weekend for that response? You clearly attacked a new member who quite frankly didn't take your acid tongue to well. If you cant take it, don't dish it.
