Nick,

As you know I posted some TGF stuff on another unrelated gameing website and got some feedback on the music. Although I'm hesitant to do so I will be happy to do the same for Ed to get a completely unbiased opinion from people on a board that is not about music at all and that has no history with the band.

I posted what I had for TGF, but there is a lot more out right now for Ed. Provide me 3 or less links of your choice, of his new stuff, and I will put them up for review to get feedback. I do not want to be accused of posting stuff that is unflattering for review, so I will let you choose them.

I will post all the feedback provided here, like I did for TGF, a few days later if you do so.

Totally up to you.

I bet he truly wants that, but is scared that people will talk poorly about his Ed.

What's with the obsession going on here with reviews, Nick, etc?

An unbiased opinion is still just an opinion.

The reviews at Amazon seem to be unbiased, and they're all fairly positive. Personally, people's reviews on Alive aren't going to change my opinion on the album. I'm still listening to it.. I've probably listened to it more than anyone else out there.. and it's still growing on me. At first it threw me for a loop, but now I love the album. I couldn't care less what other people think about it.

If a good label knows what they're doing, they have an agency who will post on Amazon for them.

I know what I think about the album and don't really care about reviews. It's a way to address all of the bickering happening on the boards by bringing in a fresh perspective and open mind. I did it for TGF, so I'm giving Nick a chance to have a fair shake for Ed.

This board is going to be really funny to read when the TGF reviews start coming at us full force. Because of course we know that all of the positive reviews will be from true rock fans who know exactly what they are talking about, and none of them at all will be posted by anyone even remotely associated with a marketing effort. True grass roots, for the fans, by the fans, blah blah vomit.gif

Oh, and the negative ones, well they simply have an agenda behind them, because who could possibly not like TGF!

Nick - I saw you on earlier today. Are you going to at least reply about your interest? Either way is fine with me.

Collective Soul board:

Ed was great(in Buffalo)! So much better than when we saw LIVE as part of the triple play 3 years ago. He seems to like his new band, he interacted with the crowd and his voice, as always, sounded great. I would definitely consider buying his solo CD after hearing quite a few songs from it.

love his voice, have always loved his songs, but not sure I even want to hear it after what he pulled on his bandmates....

Christian Board:

I find it interesting that Ed Kowalcyk is doing "Christian Rock" now. Didn't the first couple Live releases have some fairly anti-God lyrics in a couple places? I seem to recall they did, anyway. Brilliant how having kids put things in perspective for him and now he has found Jesus. Awesome.

In any event, good song. Not quite as creative as I would have expected, considering some of the stuff that Ed has done over the years ("Lakini's Juice", anyone?), but I love his voice, and that sounded good for just a regular rock song. Looking forward to more!

You seem to be missing the point of what Hoodie wanted to do. He was posting on boards that don't normally talk about music or religion because those are things that relate to Ed K's music. To post on these two boards is to miss the point.

Yeah like Funky said ... this would be the same as someone posting about TGF on a 70s inspired rock forum (if such a thing existed). Hoodie posted on a games forum. Post somewhere like .. I dunno, a forum for modding cars or something like that.
