So if someone offers up a download of the full version, with all of the bonus tracks (if there are any), for FREE before the release date, who here will be downloading it? smile.gif

Not cool. But the European album comes out first.

I'll download it, and I'm not even going to be shy about it. I'll have it downloaded and on a cd in no time at all. Of course, I'll still be going out on Sept. 14th and buying the physical copy as well.

There's going to be some very interesting commentary on this board if the iTunes version includes a 'bonus track.'

And yes, as with Alive, I will buy both the iTunes version and a physical CD if that's the case.

The big issue with Ed's release for me was that there was not one, but two largely unavailable bonus tracks. Ed made it right by offering them through his website, and would have avoided commentary from me if he had done that from the beginning. It will be interesting to see how this is handled.

I don't like the practice anyway but I can live with one bonus track, but I won't be willing to buy the album twice and will get the bonus track elsewhere. Also, I would probably download the album pre-release. I pre-ordered it and already paid for it, so why not?

Give Best Buy the middle finger and get it elsewhere, unless you like companies who treat their employees like complete garbage. Do you like companies who treat their employees like garbage?

I'll be buying it at Best Buy as well. 1. it will be cheaper compared to FYE. 2. it's much closer to my office.

Personally, I don't care how Best Buy treats their employees. If the employees stand for it and don't fight back, it is on them. Besides, I have no problem wearing Nikes knowing full well that they were probably made by some 6 year old who smokes a carton of cigarettes a day, all while getting paid $1/week.

Without getting into too many details, that hasn't been my experience in retail. If the employees fight back, they get fired. Tough shit, I guess?

And the last part of your post is just sickening to me, but at least you're honest.

For some reason that reminded me of the scene in Happy Gilmore where Shooter tells Happy that he eats pieces of shit like him for breakfast. 'You eat pieces of shit for breakfast?'

No, can you fill me in to what they do? I am not aware of how they treat their employees?

If Best Buy sells it for $9.99 I may pick it up there since I know they are losing money on it.

Unless the band offers a physical copy of course.

Hate to break it to you, BB is not losing $$ on it at $9.99, they are probably making 2-3 dollars at that price

This is probably going to be the dumbest question I've asked here but, why are there different kinds of releases in the different regions?

I mean, it's a debut album by a brand new band. Why have 12 tracks listed here and 13 tracks listed elsewhere?

Unless I've totally missed something, I didn't ever notice that with music and cds in the past - certainly not music I've purchased anyway!

It's just ridiculous.
