How did you go about converting it to NTSC? Was it the .IFO edit trick or did you re-encode the video?

Yes the patch method by editing the IFO files. I tried re-encoding, but did not have good enough software to seamlessly do the menus and chapters. This should work for a large percentage of DVD players.

Cool. Re-encoding sucks and results in quality loss.
If you just edited the IFO files, all you needed to do was upload the IFO and BUP files as the VOB files are exactly the same. It will save people who have already downloaded the PAL version from downloading gigabytes of data when they only need 100 kilobytes. smile.gif

I did the whole thing in case some people needed the iso file. Anyway, I added the .ifo files for those that just want those.

BRILLIANT!!!
Thanks for sharing this.
This is what got me hooked on Live. I watched this with my Mum in Oxford (UK) and said 'this is fucking good'! Well, I might have missed the 'fucking' out 'cos I was 15, still old enough to get a telling off then!
Cheers!

Welcome to the board zenobiolins and lewisslade! hi.gif

It's an absolute pleasure to be able to finally make a digital quality copy of this legendary show available as it is a definite must have for any +Live+ fan (or any fan of good music in general nod.gif) and I have just about given up hope of ever seeing an official release (*cough*bonusdiscfor15yearanniversaryeditionofthrowingcopper*cough* eyebrow.gif )

PS> Thanks heaps to sixfoot for doing the NTSC re-encoding! thumbsup.gif

Awesome - Thanks for the gift! I recently unearthed two Live bootleg VHS tapes. I've not really read the boards lately so I'm not sure if these have ever circulated? If people are interested I will have them converted to a dvd and share.

"Germany 95" - professionally recorded. I believe there is a cd bootleg of this show called "All Over You". Quality is excellent. My only gripe is that they start to roll credits during White Discussion...

"I Alive" - Amateur recording. Austin, Texas 10/21/94. Includes old tunes like Take My Anthem, Mother Earth Is A Vicious Crowd and 10,000 Years. Quality is shaky to begin, but steadily improves as the show continues.
Any interest or have these been kicked around already????

Did you ever get a chance to convert these to DVD? I am definitely interested in getting these!

I am busy with Germany 95.
I do have the VHS tape (bought in Canada ?!?) but since this is NTSC it is more difficult than PAL (Due to my recorder).Try to convert it ASAP.
Say a prayer for me.
